The sun's soft warmth, the wind's calming breeze and the oak tree's greeny shades all seemed to protect the white-haired young man or his heart. Who knows?

The gentle breeze ruffled his messy locks as he woke sleepily from the land of dreams. The piercing sapphire hues lost their light and were replaced with empty sockets. The blooming rosy cheeks lost all their colour alongside the snowy locks which now looked extremely dull. Is being human truly painful? Is being loved so hard? The boy with an empty heart and tear-stained cheeks wondered as the birds softly sang away in the distance.

The halls were cold, which just seemed to reflect the boy's eyes. The Knightely Castle was a splendid manor, but it was freezing. It didn't have the warmth that made it feel like a home. It felt more or less like a museum to keep trophies, collections of art and human remains. The Duke's family was a picture-perfect family, there were no errors. A beautiful heir who is an excellent pupil, the beloved king's favourite, talented in fields of music, a top-level swordsman and an intelligent individual of the court who is seen and loved by all.

Unfortunately for the boy, the love wasn't what he wanted. The admiration made by men, the adoration by women, the idolization figure seen by the younger generation. It was love in all forms, but it just simply didn't make him feel loved. For some reason, the soft limelight wanted him, but the light was simply too harsh for him.

If the world loved him so much, why can't his parents spare him a glance? What did he ever do to not be the receiver of the affections? If he tried a bit harder, maybe he would have been much more intelligent or talented. Would his parents love him? Would the duke look at him with the same adoration that he looks at 'James' with? Would his mother embrace him if he was much more of a competent human? What more does he need to do? Will the duke or the duchess would love him if he did much more? Then no matter what happens, he will do anything to achieve the highest. No matter what. No one can stop him.

He passed the portraits of his ancestors, who are in all the parts which made him into who he is today. The silent heavy oath of honoring them passed alongside the body, under the wistful eyes of the souls that remain no more. If the dead could speak, it was that moment they would choose.

The dressing room was filled with people, screams and shouts of orders could be heard throughout the entire corridor. The mirror reflects the shining eyes, while the countless hot tongs that curled lush dark hair into ringlets and the blooming reds of the cheeks which glowed with the soft curve of a dimple made by the smile. The pearl white dress was modelled with delicate white silks and laces while having a hand-drawn corset that depicted patches of magenta, lilac, white and pink roses.

Veronica's heart was filled with joy, she had been planning this tea party for a crazy amount of time. She wanted to fulfil her duties as the imperial princess and holding a social party was the right move. But deep down in her heart, she knew this would be trouble. Something in her gut told her that this wasn't a good idea. But she loves the chaos and tea, so this might as well turn out just fine. Hopefully, it will!!

The fountain was rising with fresh spring water providing cool breeze on a hot summer evening. The table was covered by a soft pink silk fabric and was covered with gourmet delicacies. The cakes adorned with rosy strawberries, chocolate croissants, delightful sandwiches, warm scones with cold ice cream and exotic teas from all over the world with lovely China cups. A colourful painted vase bloomed with flowers with the sweetest smell. It would be a lovely tea party~~

Veronica could see it! An angel? Well, it certainly did look like it! The angel in question took big strides to greet the imperial princess. The navy long fitted waistcoat alongside the short dark tailcoat with the white linen shirts and the ruffle silver tie with the light colored pants suited his light-toned appearance a lot. The coat was adorned with golden threads and shiny batches, and connecting it was a simple silver chain. The angel spoke, interrupting Veronica's thoughts, 'Greetings to the imperial's sun. I hope you have been well, my princess. It is a delight to be in your presence, even though I wasn't expecting it.' The voice was quite deep and bold. Veronica couldn't help but smile bigger as he softly pecked her hand. 'Greeting to you, Lord Henry of the Knightely House. I hope these days find you in good health. My tea party is supposed to take place; that is why I am observing the entire field. I didn't expect to find you here either.' As she ranted on, she couldn't help but feel Henry's hold tightening her hand the moment she uttered his household name. It has always been like it; the light from the azure eyes fleets away whenever she says 'Knightely'. Those eyes that looks so full of life, yet something sad is lingering behind it.

The guards could see the black and white hair duo; pretty much everyone could see them, even those who shouldn't. But people could also see the striking eyes softening every single time he spoke to the dark-haired lady next to him. A soft glow of light surrounded them, and it wasn't the light from the sun but instead a light of their own. The white-haired boy threw his back as he laughed, and the girl giggled behind a rose-embroidered napkin, both of their eyes twinkling with joy. A sight to be spectacle~
