Livia: Alex!
Livia's heart sank as she saw Alex fall, but there was no time to dwell on it. With adrenaline coursing through her, she and Peter fought on, their backs against the wall.
But just as it seemed they were about to be overwhelmed, a new force burst into the warehouse. It was Alex's team, covered in tactical gear and armed. And to Livia's surprise, each member bore the unmistakable insignia of law enforcement.
"We've got your back, Detective!" one of them called out.
With skill and precision, Alex's team swiftly eliminated Shadow's men. Their movement was coordinated and efficient. They were clearly highly trained professionals, each with specialized expertise.
As Livia watched in awe, she realized that Alex's team weren't just skilled hitmen - they were undercover cops like her.
With Alex down, Livia rallied alongside her newfound allies, leading the charge against Shadow's forces. In a matter of minutes, the battle was over.
While some members secured the area and began processing the captured criminals, others rushed to Alex's side. They assessed her condition with practiced precision, relieved she still had a pulse.
"We need to get her to a hospital, stat," one said.

Weeks passed, and Alex lay in the hospital bed, her strength slowly returning but still far from what it once was.
As she lay there, lost in her thoughts, the sound of the door opening drew her attention. Livia stood in the doorway, her expression a mix of relief and concern as she made her way to Alex's bedside.
"Hey," Livia said softly, her voice a welcome in the quiet room.
Alex managed a weak smile, grateful for the familiar face before her. "Hey, LK," she replied.
Livia pulled up a chair beside the bed, her gaze never leaving Alex's face. "How are you feeling?" she asked, the concern evident on her face.
"Getting there," she admitted, with her movements restricted by the lingering pain.
"You know, now that you're not going anywhere..." Livia trailed off, her words hanging in the air.
Alex arched an eyebrow, flickering her eyes despite the weight of exhaustion weighing her down.
"What do you mean?"
Livia took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "You'll let me capture you now, " she declared, her voice tinged with playfulness and sincerity.
"I've been waiting for you to ask," Alex replied; without hesitation, she reached out, gently cupping Livia's cheek in her hand.
The world faded away at that moment, and a gentle pressure ignited a spark within them both. Each touch, each caress, spoke volumes. The soft brush of their lips sent shivers down Alex's spine, a sensation that resonated to her very core.
As their lips parted, Alex's fingers traced a tender path along Livia's jawline, her touch feather-light. Their hands found each other instinctively, fingers intertwined in a silent promise of unity.
With a soft smile playing on her lips, Livia leaned in once more, her heart overflowing with love and affection for the woman before her. Their lips met in a second deep kiss as they parted... with a playful twinkle in her eyes, she leaned in close, her lips brushing against Alex's ear as she whispered.
"Looks like I've finally caught the culprit.... Of stealing my heart."
With a newfound surge of strength, Alex pulled Livia back in, their lips meeting in another kiss brighter than ever.
As they parted, breathless, Alex grinned mischievously, her eyes twinkling affectionately.
"Guess I'll have to add 'heart thief' to your rookie rap sheet, Rookie LK" she teased.
And with that, they shared a laugh, their hearts light and full of joy as they embraced the beginning of a new chapter in their lives—filled with love and laughter—together.
