You haven't texted Kate or Yelena for the rest of the weekend, feeling embarrassed about what happened at the arcade, especially thinking that the kiss meant something.

This morning, Kate came by and picked you up for school. "So..." Kate started. "Soo.." You copied back. "Are you gonna tell me what happened at the arcade.. or at the party."
You took a deep breath, "If I tell you, you have to promise no violence or whatever."
"What'd Natasha do?"
"How do you know it's Natasha?" You questioned. "Are you kidding.. It's Natasha Romanoff we're talkin' about, she's been an asshole towards you since like we started highschool."

Kate was right, after about a year in your new highschool Natasha was acting different, hanging out with the wrong crowd, meaning Tony's group of playboy and playgirl friends, she become one too, most probably one of the worst.

"We kissed." "I know that part.. my poor eyes." She wipped a fake tear, and you hit her shoulder, "Not funny, Kate."
Which only made her laugh further, "So then what happened?"
"At the arcade I asked if the kiss meant anything to her.. she said that the kiss nothing so..I guess that was my answer." You let out a type of cry-laugh.

That's when you noticed you were at school and Kate parked her car, "That asshole. I'm gonna beat her ass." "Kate, no. I don't want to cause any drama." She let out an annoyed sigh with the roll of her eyes, "Fine." "Thank you," you smiled and gave a squeeze to her hand, "now let's go, Yelena's waiting for us."

You two got out of the car and made your way inside the building.
You two met Yelena at your locker.
You were putting your books in your bag when you felt someone turn you around and give you a bear hug and then pull away only to give you a punch to the shoulder, "Why haven't you been answering our texts! We were worried sick."
"First of all, ouch," you rubbed your shoulder, "and sorry, I wasn't feeling well this weekend."
You lied, it wasn't technically a lie..you were feeling unwell due to stressing over the kiss that just so happened to be your first and the person you kissed thought nothing of it.
"Are you feeling better now? You could've told us..we'd come over and take care of you." "That's really sweet, Yelena..but I wouldn't want you catching a little cold." You laughed it off.

Kate raised an eyebrow and nudged your shoulder.
"Something wrong?" Yelena looked between you. "No, everything's fine, let's get to class, yeah?" You faked a smile.
Yelena could tell that something was off but didn't say anything as she walked in front of you and Kate.
"Why didn't you tell her?" Kate whispered to you.
"Because she's her sister. I don't want any bad blood between them because of me." "Y/n.. You know Yelena, she'd understand-" you stopped walking, stopping her in her tracks, "Kate, I know but now is just not a good time. I will tell her soon but for now let's just.. drop it, please?" You begged, Kate let out a breath, "Fine. I will."
You hugged her for a second, "Thanks Kate." She gave you a smile in return.
"You two coming or what?" Yelena spoke up from in front of you.
"Yeah, we're coming." You two followed Yelena to class and talked about random stuff and laughing.
_________

You were sitting on the bench eating lunch with your two best friends sitting in front of you.
You were mid bite when you saw Natasha walk past, and leaned on the wall, she took out her phone and focused on that.
"What?" Kate asked and took a glance behind and saw her too, which sparked Yelena's interest, she looked behind her too.
"What's up with you two? You've been weird." Yelena spoke up and focused herself back on her lunch, her mac 'n cheese with hot sauce.
"Nothings wrong..," you shrugged, "I thought I saw something else."

'There she is.' An unknown voice spoke up from the side.

You felt a tap on your shoulder.
You jumped and turned around to face a known face, Jess, one of Natashas friends.
Jess was one of the people in the friend group,  known as the goofball, and sort of a player too.
Jess was standing in front of you, you noticed Natasha standing next to her a bit behind her arms crossed and that same old cold look on her face.

"Hey.. Jess?" You greeted. "Hi. Hey, Y/n," she nervously chuckled, clearing her throat, "sorry, I know this is weird and all but I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime. With me." You saw Natasha roll her eyes and let out a quiet sigh.
You were struck with surprise, "I uh-," you saw Natasha look directly at you and remembering what she said at the arcade, "sure! Yea! That sounds fun, text me?" You handed her your phone and she put in her number, making sure to text you to save it. Maybe you're doing this to make Natasha jealous.
"I'll make sure to pick you up." Jess left with a wink and Natasha followed behind.

Turning around to finish your lunch, your friends stared at you in return.
"What?" You asked.
"Dude, you just got asked out by one of Natashas friends!" Kate yelled in surprise. "Yeah...I did." You felt yourself smile.
Yelena took a bite out of her mac 'n cheese, "I didn't think she'd have the balls to be honest- hey!" Yelena said only to be hit on the arm by Kate.
"What do you mean by that?" You asked back. "Well..I sorta heard Nat and Jess talk about you."
"Nat and Jess...talked about me?"
Natasha talked about you.
"Yea, Jess was thinking about asking you out and asked Natasha for advice on asking you out, that's all I heard before I left to my room." "And you never told us this!" "I am now." She shrugged. "Yelena!" "I'm sorry," she raised her hands in surrender, "I fell asleep after I saw them, it only came back now when I saw her ask you out." You let out a sigh.
'Why'd Jess go to Natasha for advice out of all people.' You thought.
