-Tom had PTSD due to his past spy missions.

-The main reason he didn't talk to Jake again after S1, was to deal with his mental health.

-He still had a crush on Jake, But felt heartbroken when he found out he eliminated James because of Alec.

-When Tom found out Jake tried to commit suicide, He felt guilty for neglecting his health and for how he treated him in S1 and All-Stars. (Luckily, Jake forgave him for it and understood why.)

-Even though he and Jake had repaired their relationship, Tom still had nightmares of losing Jake because of his actions. (He even had a nightmare where Jake suceeded in his suicide attempt, and woke up crying. But luckily, Jake comforted him and told him he wouldn't do it again.)
