Hawks slept in that day he actually had the day off; this is the first time in YEARS he had a day off.
Hawks rolled out of bed with energy because he finally got a full night sleep it was around 9 Am so it wasn't that late but a lot better than what he usually has to.
Hawks didn't really know what he was gonna do with himself all day he and Dabi were going to go to the bar later in the day Hawks was a bit nervous because he knows when he's drunk he doesn't act right, just talks without knowing what he's saying and for all he knows he could be telling Dabi in the bar that he's a spy because he doesn't remember really anything after either and to make it worse Dabi said that he remembers everything after he drinks so this could end badly but Hawks tried not to think about that.
Hawks got ready he wore his hero outfit because he wasn't sure what he was gonna go do yet but he might be in public so he had to be wearing his hero uniform. He finished getting ready in the bathroom then went to the kitchen to take his pills then went to the front door and put his boats on and walked out and called Mirko.
"Hey Mirko!"
"Hi Hawks what's up?"
"Do you wanna come to ——— with me?"
"YEA DUH!" She said excitedly.
"Ok see you in 10."
"Sounds good byee."
Hawks hung up the phone him and Mirko haven't hung out in a while like they use to Hawks just became super busy with work and couldn't, but Mirko has always had less work then Hawks so she was almost always available.
Hawks flew over to where they were meeting up and after he landed a few minutes later he saw Mirkos car and watched her parked.
"So, what made you wanna come to the arcade?" Mirko asked as they walked in
"Well, I had a meeting the other day and they are finally giving me days off!" He said really excitedly.
Mirko smiled she hasn't seen Hawks this happy in a very long time.
"Ok well let's good have some fun then!"
Hawks and Mirko went up to the counter "um how many tickets do we need?" He asked Mirko "let's get a lot of tickets if we wanna stay for a while." She said "ok." hawks replied
Mirko bought it for both of them and they walked into the main arcade area "woah." Hawks said looking everywhere amazed "what you never been to an arcade?" Mirko teased "no I haven't actually this is my first time." Hawks said, Mirko was pretty surprised to hear this "you've never been to an arcade?! That's crazy!"
Hawks walked over to a machine that had stuffed animals in it and claw hanging over it "what's this?" Hawks asked, "you're kidding, right?" Hawks just stared at her. She sighed it's a claw machine you put tickets into it, and you get to move the claw around and try to grab a toy and put it in the little right there." She pointed at the hole in the bottom of the claw machine
"Oh, ok I wanna try it!"
Hawks put credits into and tried to go for a little stuffed owl the first time he completely missed but he tried again and again... until he got it!
"Finally!" Mirko laughed
"Hey! it was my first time!"
" yeah, yeah ok now let's go play some real games!"
Him and Mirko played almost every game that they had there! basketball, ski ball, pack man and whole bunch more. Hawks LOVED it and he was actually really good at most the games they played even the luck-based ones he always got the highest number.
After a while him and Mirko didn't have very many tickets left it seemed they could each pick to play one more game than they would run out. Hawks choose to play the game where you got to press all the buttons that glowed, and Mirko helped him of course! Mirko choose a luck-based game and spun the wheel Hawks earlier got 1000 tickets on it! However, Mirko didn't get as lucky and got 20 tickets...
"20 tickets you cannot be serious?!"
Hawks just laughed at her.
"Alright now let's see how many tickets we got a go to the prize shop!" Mirko said and saw the giant glowing sign that said "Prize shop" and started walking to it.
"What a prize shop?" Hawks asked
"Oh right forgot your first time . Well it basically a place where he see how many tickets you got and use them to buy different prizes the smaller one are less tickets and big prizes are more tickets." She explained
"Oh ok." Hawks said
They scanned there cards and hawks had more then 10000 tickets and Mirko had around 5000.
Hawks got a prank kit that he will probably never use And Mirko got a whole bunch of different candies they took it up to the counter of the prize shop and used their tickets to pay for their prizes and then they left the arcade and then Hawks and Mirko said their goodbyes to each other and then went their own ways.
Hawks headed back to his apartment to get ready to meet up with Dabi.
