⇄ ◃◃ ⅠⅠ ▹▹ ↻We walk down a small street, the sun not being able to cover the concrete from all the tall buildings and banners that stretch over each roof. Phil and I walk in front of everyone, Stu behind us with a map in his hand and Alan wheels the monk through the streets.
"Jesus Christ." Phil speaks as he looks at people clearing up burnt trash on the street. "ls this the right street?"
"That's what it says." Stu looks up at a woman with a broom and waves it in his face in anger. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is the White Lion. What the fuck happened here? Holy shit."
"Oh, okay. Just keep walking. Yeah." I mumble.
"Okay. Yeah, we should probably..." Stu points to the building from the card, and all of us walk inside.
"Hello?" Phil calls out.
"Be with you in a minute."
"Excuse me." I walk further inside.
A man at a table with a small boy lying on top of it with his shirt off, a tattoo gun in his hand smiles at us. "Oh, look who it is. So, what do you think?"
"What? I'm sorry?" Stu asks, the man looking directly at him.
"The tattoo? You love it?"
"Uh, no. Actually, I hate it." Stu nagged.
"No refunds. Get the fuck out." The man shouts. "Read the sign." We read a sign on the wall that in fact says, 'No refunds. Get the fuck out.'
"We don't want a refund." Phil shakes his head. "We just have a couple of questions. Trying to figure out what went down last night."
"What went down?" The man repeats. "Look what you did outside. Half the neighbourhood went down."
"We did that?" I raise my eyebrows.
"You don't remember getting into a bar fight at the White Lion?" He asks, us shaking our heads. "Starting a full-on fucking riot?"
"No, sir. We don't remember anything." Alan smiles.
"Hold this." The man passes his tattoo gun to the young boy on the table. "Oh, boy. Check this out." He plays a video on his phone, showing it to us. There is a huge riot in the street at night, all of us shouting and laughing. But then police sirens wail in the distance.
"Fuck the police!" People chant in the video. "Fuck the police!"
In the video, Teddy takes off his red Harvard hoodie, giving it to the monk in the wheelchair. "There's Teddy. He was with us." Alan points. The video ends with all of us running away from the police, leaving the monk behind.
"Jesus Christ," Phil mutters.
"That's when the cops arrived, and started cracking skulls." The man explains. "I took you guys and hid you in the shop here." He points to Stu. "Then you decided to get a tattoo. Cried like a little bitch." He looks down at the kid on the table. "This kid's fucking 9 years old. He's got balls twice your size. Show him your balls, man."
"No, no, no. That's okay." I panic as the kid starts to pull his pants down.
"Hey," The man smiles, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "How's the nipples?"
"Wait," I look up at him. "I got my nipples pierced here?"
"Yeah," He nods. "I do piercings too. You really wanted some."
"What the fuck is wrong with me?" I whisper.
"You were so happy you could get them, you just jumped up on my table and took your top off." He laughs. "All these guys screamed and you flipped them off."
"I flashed a monk my tits when I was getting my nipples pierced!" I screeched. "Surely one beer wouldn't make me do that."
"Listen, we're looking for our friend Teddy." Phil changes the subject, pulling me away from the guy's hold on my shoulders. "Have you seen him?"
"Not since last night. What happened?" The man answers.
"Yeah, I'm supposed to marry his sister tomorrow and we kind of lost him." Stu nods.
"Oh, well. Then fuck it." The man shrugs.
"What do you mean, 'fuck it?'" Stu shrieks.
"Bangkok has him now" The man looks at us, not breaking eye contact. "and she'll never let him go."
