Alex: "Well, my parents are going to see it anyways. So why not now!" Alex said clapping her hand and jumping up and down excitedly.
Jaxx: "Sure, why not!" he said, looking back up and smiling.
Alex grabbed Jaxx's wrist and dragged him to his house where her parents were waiting to pick her up. Bursting through the front door, she called out to her parents with such enthusiasm.
Alex: "Mom, Dad, look at my hair!" she said as she spun around in circles, giving her parents a full 360 of her new blonde locks.
At first, Her parents were appalled, their expressions reflecting great concern.
Alex's mom: "Oh my, Alex... How foolish..." she says staring at Jaxx with harsh, piercing eyes eyes.
Alex's father nudged her and whispered something in her ear before she finished her sentence. Her mom's eyes widen and quickly nods. She claps her and and smiles.
Alex's mom: "How foolish we have been to never realize that your hair is more beautiful this way instead of that same old brown." she laughs. "the blonde suits you beautifully! It makes you look like a little model".
Alex's father nodded in agreement, a smile forming at the corners of his lips
Alex's Dad: "Yes, it does" he chimed in. "And with a face like yours, we could turn you into a star"
Her parents and talking and laughing to themselves. Jaxx doesn't understand why but Alex's parents saying that sent a shiver down his spine. Alex smiles and turns too Jaxx.
Alex: "See, Jaxx?" she beamed. "You helped make me look beautiful! Thank you so much!"
Jaxx returned Alex's smile, his eyes softened with happiness for his friend.
Jaxx: "Yeah, no problem!"
