"DOES YOUR MOTHER EVEN KNOW you're here?" Dean stands with his back to me, rummaging through his duffel.

"Nope," I pop and a breeze of cold air hits my skin as I enter the apartment, causing goosebumps to rise on my arms. "Wrote her a letter saying that I needed some time to sort things out."

"You think she's gonna buy that?" Dean huffs and opens a beer, almost downing the liquid in one go.

"I'm not an idiot. I got Ash to lay a credit card trail all the way to the casinos in Vegas." I scoff slightly annoyed by the way Dean thinks of me.

"You know, you shouldn't lie to your mom. Shouldn't be here either," Dean states his opinion and I taste sourness on my tongue, anger rising.

"Well, I am. So untwist your boxers and deal with it," I snap back at him and throw Dean a challenging gaze, earning a defeated sound from him a moment later.

"Where'd you get all that money from anyways," Sam suddenly asks, probably saving the situation from going down once again.

"Working at the Roadhouse."

"Hunters don't tip that well," Dean says and his eyes bore into mine, confusion swirling in them.

"They aren't that good at poker either." I return the stare, getting lost in his eyes.

The next moment the loud ringing of Dean's cell phone snaps me back to reality. "Yeah-" Dean answers with a smooth voice. "-oh, hi Ellen."

"You haven't seen my daughter, have you? She took off after our fight and I have a strong feeling she's in Philadelphia working the case."

I feel the color draining from my face and my eyes widen. Dean presses his palm on the speaker, muting himself.

"I'm telling her," Dean threatens me with a serious tone and I feel panic rising. If mom finds out that I'm here, she'll actually chain me up in the basement.

"Dean if you dare to tell her-" I get cut short by the older brother.

"I'm not gonna cover for you and risk that you jeopardize the job." I narrow my eyes, an offended expression written over my face.

"Dean?" My mother's voice cuts through the thick air.

My attention is still on Dean, who clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes while mumbling, "Fine but under one condition - you won't leave our sides. Neither Sammy's nor mine."

I nod and flash Dean a sweet smile. Sounds fair to me.

"I haven't seen her."

"You sure about that?"

"Yeah, I'm sure." Dean keeps a straight face and I glance over to Sam who's observing his brother, a frown on his face.

"Well please if she shows up, you'll drag her butt right back here."

"Absolutely," Dean promises, throwing me a sideways smirk.

"Okay. Thanks." With that Dean hangs up the Phone and a relieved smile plants itself on my lips.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it. Just promise me you'll be careful when we go hunt this thing." Dean says, passing me a beer, opening it with the ring on his finger.
I decline with a swift movement of my hand and Dean shrugs his shoulders downing his second beer.

_________

After going through the information of the case we came to the conclusion to just scan the whole place.
I suggested to split up so we'd be faster but Dean said it wasn't negotiable.
