Sunghoon's POV:

The main reason I wanted to go to the cafe was because of Yunho and Mingi. They've been friends with me since before I got Gaeul, so I really wanted to see them.

"Shut up." Yunho mumbles as I grin and hug him tighter.

Soon Mingi joins in me and Yunho's hug and I swear a tear almost falls, I haven't seen them in so long. Last time I came, I was stuck in the house the whole time. And by the time I left, I planned to go, but I was called for a business trip so I had to leave quickly.

"Sunghoon, you didn't call us that you were coming!!" Mingi says once we pull away from the hug. "I don't even have your number, Mingi." I defend myself.

"Oh yeah, I wonder why." Mingi says and scratches his head.

"Anyways-" Yunho starts, "Introduce me to thi- wait, where did he go?" Yunho questions as me and Mingi both turn to where Yunho was looking at in confusion.

"There's no one there, Yunho." Yunho rolls his eyes at Mingi. "No, there was."

Shit, Jake!

"I'll be back!" I yell before grabbing my bag and running out of the cafe.

I hear Mingi say, "What's up with him?" Before I start running in a random direction.

I don't even know why I'm running, I could just call him but–
Nope I don't even have an explanation for my doing.

After running for two minutes, I spot the big furry dog named Layla. As I get closer, I notice that Jake is on the phone. It looks like he's yelling.

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear,

"SUNOO, I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL FUCKING FIRE YOU IF
YOU DONT TELL ME WHO DID IT. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO DECORATE THAT BIG ASS ROO-"

Damn, he must have some problems.

I interrupt him though, "Hey."

Jake's head whips around towards me and his face immediately turns red, probably because I scared him. Layla walks over to me and sits down, I notice that when Jake looks down and Layla isn't there.

"Uh, hi." He finally mumbles out. I almost break out a grin, but I hold it in and clear my throat. "That must have been awkward for you back there, so I'm sorr-" I start but Jake almost immediately interrupts me.

"NO! I mean, no.. It was okay, I'm gonna go though." He says. Wait, is he leaving because he thinks I wanna hang out with them instead?

Before he calls Layla over I say, "I really want you to stay, Jake."

Jake looks at me, and his cheeks are slightly pink, must be the wind. "And I would love too," he mumbles. "But, something happened at my work and I really need to go." He finishes, looking up.

"Oh, can I.. Come with you? I know it-" Jake interrupts me again.

"Look, come at my company tomorrow at seven am. We can hang then? I want you to be with your other friends." Jake says.

"Sounds good.. Ill see you tomorrow then." I smile and he smiles back before I start walking back to the cafe.

While I'm walking, I look back to try and see Jake and to my surprise, he's looking my way too. Once we lock eyes he gives me a shy smile before walking away with Layla.

I can already imagine Yunho and Mingi's smirks and, they are probably gonna be teasing me for running out of the cafe as if Gaeul got sick.

I put my hand over my chest and take a deep breath.

This is just a business trade.

Why did I want him to stay?..

i guess I have more fun writing books with plots that i made instead of simple books that are similar to thousands of other books 😭
