It had been 10 years since Enid graduated from Nevermore, and as soon as she did, she moved out of her family home, moving to New York to pursue a career in Journalism.

Now at 28, she is currently working at the New York Times as an investigative journalist.

She loved her job and her life living with her dog Anubis, even though she had broken up with her ex of 2 years, a year prior.

She was slowly trying to get back on her feet after that disaster of a break-up.

"You could've at least had the decency of telling me!" Enid yelled, her voice trembling slightly.

"What did you want me to say?! It just happened!" Her ex replied defensively.

"Right?! Like one just happens to land in another woman's bed!" Enid said chuckling sarcastically.

"Enid...I love you. You're taking this too seriously." Her ex walked up to her, raising her hands to cup her teary face.

Enid backed away, "Don't you dare touch me."

"Babe, come on! It was a mistake. It's not gonna happen again!" Her ex excused herself.

Enid laughed, hard. She looked at her ex up and down, rolling her eyes at the number of red flags that were now very obvious. "You're right, it won't...because we're done! It's over, pack your things and go."

"Enid, what the hell! You're going to throw what we have away because of a simple mistake?" Her ex argued.

"A simple mistake? A simple mistake is forgetting to buy eggs at the supermarket. FUCKING SOME RANDOM WOMAN IS NOT A SIMPLE MISTAKE!" Enid was livid, "I gave everything for you, I fought for our relationship, stayed by your side after you lost your job, and supported your dreams and goals!" She sighed, "I even gave up my friends for you! I isolated myself FOR YOU! Yoko is still hurt by that, Divina won't even talk to me anymore and Wednesday...god Wednesday...she just vanished after I told her you were uncomfortable with our relationship! And this is how you pay me? By cheating on me? Fuck that! Just leave!" She didn't know when she started crying, her fists were clenched at her sides.

Her ex scoffed, "Wednesday Addams...she's the reason why this didn't work! She had a major crush on you and you didn't even bother to respect me enough to stop talking to her until after I told you she made me uncomfortable. If there's anyone to blame for me cheating it's you for not craving enough!" She turned towards the door, ripping it open, "I send for my things in the morning! Goodbye, Enid!" She slammed the door on her way out just as Enid threw a vase with flowers she had bought for her at the door.

Present day

Enid got back from work and laid on her couch to watch some TV while her food was heating in the oven.

She sighed as she melted into the comfort of her couch.

"What a day, Anubis." She sided, stretching and petting her dog behind the ear.

Anubis barked and yipped, licking her face as he jumped on the couch as well.

"Who's a good boy! You're such a cutie!" Enid grabbed his head with both hands, shaking it slightly.

The microwave dinged, and she got up to get her phone when her phone rang. "Yoko? Is everything ok?" She had been trying to mend things with her friend in the past year and they have been slowly picking up the pieces of their broken friendship.

"Everything is fine pup. Just calling to see how you're holding up." Yoko asked.

"I'm good. Getting ready to have dinner. It's been a long day at work." Enid replied.
