"Feeling like a teenager with a perfect family, surrounded by friends, and enjoying a great day at school is a rare privilege. Not everyone has this luxury; many are battling their own demons just to get by."

The morning light streamed through my window, painting the room in a soft, golden glow. It was a typical day, except for one thing: the familiar sound of Anna's snoozing didn't fill the air. Groaning, I threw off the covers and headed downstairs, picturing my sister still lost in dreamland. But as I entered the kitchen, the empty fridge greeted me with its stark emptiness.
'Ugh, Dad must have forgotten to get groceries again!' I grumbled to myself, already feeling the familiar pang of hunger. I was supposed to have a nutritious breakfast for school, but it seemed fate had other plans. Dad was at work, leaving me no choice but to skip breakfast and head to school on an empty stomach.
As I walked through the bustling hallways, I tried to blend in with the crowd, keeping my head down and my gaze fixed on the floor. I hated the attention I sometimes got, the whispers and stares, and the endless questions about my powers. It felt easier to just disappear, to be invisible.
Reaching my classroom, I found my usual spot at the back, hoping to avoid any unnecessary interaction. Just as I settled down, Mrs. Snow entered the room, her cheerful smile radiating through the classroom. She always started the day with history, and today was no exception. She began her lecture, her voice carrying a captivating energy that made even the most boring historical facts seem intriguing.
However, her lesson was interrupted by a sudden commotion at the entrance. A boy, with hair as white as platinum, walked in, his face hidden beneath a dark hoodie adorned with a fictional character. He looked out of place, like a character stepping out of a comic book and into our mundane world.
Mrs. Snow, always the epitome of patience and kindness, addressed the latecomer. 'Jack, why are you late? Do you even know what time it is?'
The boy, Jack, finally removed his hoodie, revealing a face that was both handsome and mischievous. 'I know, I know. I was stuck in traffic, but can you give me a chance today?' he asked, his voice a blend of youthful charm and a hint of rebelliousness.
Mrs. Snow, despite her initial surprise, nodded with a knowing smile. 'Alright, Jack. But next time, make sure you're on time. Now, find a seat in the middle.'
As Jack walked towards the middle of the room, I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of curiosity.
