"You've got to be fucking kidding me!?"
Jaerim was met with a screech from Hana, the leader of LAVELLE who dropped by her apartment to give some kimchi and side dishes that her mom made for the girls. They were in the same building but different apartment so it was normal for Hana to drop by but today, she was met with the unexpected facts that happened yesterday between the two idols.
Jaerim opened her kakao talk which showed Mingyu's ID and their recent chats which was an exchange of simple hi, hello, good night and a simple good morning text from Mingyu.
Hana knows that many idols often ask Jaerim's number from here and there and they ended up not texting her up but Mingyu was the first one to send her a proper text as the other male idols would only take her number just to show off or either for some business like collaboration or doing reels together. It was a record.
"So you mean to tell me that, he didn't even ask you if you had a boyfriend or not but straight up flirting on the camera and asking for your number? Damn, seniors got some balls to do those. If it were you, you'd be publishing your apology letter in your account right now"
Hana sat on the couch as Jaerim followed her with a bowl of strawberries and whipped cream. "I was shocked and didn't function properly but I guess it happened. It feels like I was hallucinating and I didn't have the heart to say no, since he was asking with such a gentleman demeanor so I gave in but didn't expect him to text me up"
As soon as Jaerim reached home yesterday, she saw a cute "hi" message from certain someone with a cute chick emoji. She had interacted with them here and there but never this close and forget about asking numbers.
Hana just pats her fellow member's head with a cheeky smile "So, our Jaerim is finally going to have a boyfriend, putting a full stop to the "no boyfriend era" and stop drinking the chaste tea?"
"Yah! Eonnie!"
It has been an inside joke for the girls since their trainee days because Jaerim was never seen with a guy or like for dating or something else and YUE once spotted her drinking chaste tea made from special herbs which was good for health but also contained some elements to control one's sexual drive, since then the joke has become common among the girls.
Hana laughed and looked at her phone checking something "Maybe the universe wants to see you together. We have a performance tomorrow and Seventeen are also promoting their new songs"
Jaerim glance at the schedules for tomorrow along with the artist who will be performing tomorrow and indeed, Seventeen will be performing. It's not a big deal but Jaerim was a little bit excited for tomorrow's performance.

Jaerim adjusted her microphone and gave a test with the help of the Sound&Music Team. They reached earlier for rehearsal and there were many fans around the area who were cheering and chatting with the members while some fansites were set up around to capture the member's particular fan-cam.
They were done with the rehearsal so they waved a small goodbye to their fans and headed back towards their rest room to get their make-up and hair done as the stylist and make-up team had arrived.
Since they were only 5 members, they could get their make-up done by 5 different artists at no time so they all got on their assigned seats as the make-up artist started doing their work. There was some camera at the corner for recording their "Behind the stage" which will be later edited with their stage performances and give a "sneak-peak" to their fans on what they do before going up on stage and some interaction.
LYN and JINSEO were the one who started greeting the camera and started explaining their main make-up look for today. The theme for today's performance was a bit of "princess" vibes for their new song "QUEENCARD" and some members like JINSEO & YUE already filmed a challenge with some of their idol besties earlier.
"Jaerim-ah, what type of make-up should we go for today? I was thinking of some sparkles around and go for a fairy chinese douyin make-up look"
The make-up artist showed a sample of the make-up look she was talking about and Jaerim loved the look so the make-up artist immediately got to her work as the Seo girl made herself busy with her phone. She was scrolling through some latest news until a notification from certain someone caught her eyes.
" goodmoning jaerim-ssi, i saw your rehearsal and it was so nice! couldn't wait to see you perform later on! "
Jaerim couldn't help but smile at the way "goodmoning" was addressed by Mingyu ─── the 'certain someone' . She didn't hesitate to open the chat message before replying back a thank you and that she was cheering for their group's performance too.
" Thank you Jaerim-ssi 🫶🏻 . If you don't mind, after you're done with make up can we do challenge together for our song Super? "
Jaerim knew the song's main choreography since YUE and HANA would always do the choreography at their practice hall and she would sometimes join them to practice so it wasn't a problem for her. As she text back, she couldn't help but become a little playful
" Sure sunbae, I would love to do it, but it comes with a price. What do you say? " seen.
Jaerim didn't understand where she got that courage to joke when they're not that even close but her fingers were itching to type those words and she even sent a cute little rabbit with a winky face. She saw that her message was read immediately and she waited for a few seconds until she got a reply which made her jaw drop.
