"Oh! It's luffy!" you exclaimed after you all came upon him sitting against a tree. Luffy had fallen asleep with both his hands and legs crossed as he leaned against the trunk of the tree. Jeez, what was with this crew and spontaneously napping?

You crouched down into a squat before your captain, your arms resting on your thighs as you observed Luffy's face. His eyebrows were slightly knitted together in a knot that you so desperately wanted to smooth out.

"y/n. Hurry it up. I'm bored." Zoro was in fact, not bored. Instead, he was upset because you seemed so fascinated by Luffy and because your face was so close to his. It would only take Luffy shifting a few centimetres forward for him to kiss you so Zoro prayed to God that Luffy wouldn't wake up.

"Hey! Don't you dare talk like that to y/n sama!" Sanji yelled at his competitor, his eyes forming crescent moons in anger but immediately softening back to normal as he turned back to you, "But I agree y/n sama! Let me just kick luffy awake so we can get a move on!"

You whisper-yelled in the general direction behind you, "Shush!" accidentally yelling at usopp too, who cried silent tears at your rough words.

You went back to solely focusing on Luffy's face, his light breaths and his slightly open mouth. It was absolutely adorable the way his hair fell in front of his eyes and shifted slightly with the wind.

Lifting your pointer finger, you gave into your urges and reached forwards to the crease in luffy's brows, planning to smooth it out.

But just as your finger was a molecule away from touching his face, Luffy's hand shot up and grabbed you by the wrist, an open eye looking at you through his raven bangs.

"...who?" recognizing your face, luffy immediately loosened his grip on your wrist and grinned with a cheery smile "Oh! it's you y/n nee! Zoro, Sanji and usopp too!"

You chuckled and ruffled Luffy's hair, his hand still hanging off your wrist as he gave you a sweet smile, "That feels good y/n nee! Do it more!"

Gosh.

He was so damn cute! You could barely hold back the urge to wrap luffy in your arms as you shook with cute aggression at your captain's adorable displays of cuteness, "w-we have to help nami first, and then i'll do it more as a reward okay?" No need to tell him that you wouldn't be able to resist ruffling his fluffy hair no matter what he did.

Luffy's eyes sparkled with excitement at the prospect of earning more head pats. He jumped up with newfound energy, all traces of his nap quickly fading away. "Alright! Let's go help Nami!" he declared enthusiastically.

Zoro grumbled under his breath, clearly still annoyed by the close proximity you had with Luffy. "Finally. Let's get moving."

Sanji sighed dreamily as he watched you, his irritation towards Zoro momentarily forgotten. "Of course, y/n sama. Anything for you."

Usopp, having recovered from his earlier years, straightened up and tried to look brave. "Yeah, let's go! We have to find Nami and defeat arlong!"

Luffy started marching ahead, his usual carefree attitude leading the way. You fell into step beside him, keeping a close eye on your captain. Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp followed, their bickering and banter filling the air as Luffy guided you all to the village he explained he'd been at just minutes before when he walked off.

As you all got closer to the village and just had to go past a few more houses to make it to where Luffy last saw Nami and was told off, he suddenly stopped yapping and stopped in his tracks, frowning, "do you guys hear that?"
