☆ Summer, 2000
"Hey sis, can you buy me some ice cream?" My brother asked me but I just stared at him. I was too lazy to get out from the water, just to buy him some ice cream? Nuh-uh.
"Please?" He asked with his dumb puppy eyes. What can I do then? Of course I had to agree. Instead, in exchange of his favor, I asked to have a peaceful swim at the beach. ALONE. With no noise from my brother.
As I rolled my eyes and walked to the convenience store, I started to realize that I needed something refreshing too. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to go after all?

"Hmm, let's see. What flavor should I get?" I asked myself under my breath.
"Chocolate? Eh, too sweet.
Vanilla? Nah, too plain.
Mint Chocolate? Nuh uh.
Coffee? Nope.
Guess it leaves me with Cookies and Cream then."

The next thing I know, is that I slipped and almost fell down the floor..I was so dumb to not see the warning. *internally screaming and crying*
Well..
The good thing is, that someone held me by my arm before I hit the floor.
"You okay, miss?" He said with concern in his voice.
"Yeah, thanks" I hurriedly got up and fixed my hair and clothes then, flashed him an awkward and embarrassed smile.
"Nice to hear, but, it looks like your ice cream isn't." He said while pointing at my ice cream on the floor. I was so mesmerized that I forgot that I even bought ice cream here.
"Well, good thing that it's in a pint, huh?" I was so dumbfounded that I just let out an awkward laugh. While picking up both items, I wanted to say thanks again but, he was already gone in the blink of an eye.
"Wow..thanks, I guess?" I sighed and went back to the shore as fast as I can so that the ice cream won't melt in this hot, scorching weather.
