As they sat together, Meera began to share more about her life with Taehyung. He listened intently, eager to learn more about the person behind the charming smile he had come to know.

Meera started by telling him about her family. She described herself as the only child of her parents, emphasizing her close bond with both her mother and father. Her dad was a doting figure, always ready to pamper her with love and affection. On the other hand, her mother, being a typical South Indian mom, was strict yet caring, setting boundaries for Meera's own good, which she respected and appreciated.

But it was her grandparents who held a special place in her heart. Meera's family hailed from a rural area in Karnataka, but her parents had moved to the city for better opportunities. When Meera was born, her paternal grandmother, whom she lovingly referred to as "Ajji," came to take care of her, becoming her primary caregiver and source of love and affection. Meera spoke fondly of her grandmother, recalling how she was raised by her until the age of seven or eight. Her grandmother's presence filled her childhood with warmth and security, her gentle touch and soothing words guiding Meera through life's ups and downs.

As Meera reminisced about her grandmother, Taehyung couldn't help but be moved by the depth of their bond. He could sense the love and admiration in Meera's voice, painting a vivid picture of the woman who had played such a significant role in her life.

He listened attentively as Meera shared anecdotes about her grandmother's kindness and generosity, how she never let anyone go hungry and always had a warm meal ready for those in need. Ajji's selflessness left a lasting impression on Meera, shaping her worldview and inspiring her to follow in her footsteps.

Meera suddenly apologized as though she remembered something. "I'm sorry, Taehyung," Meera said, her voice faltering. "I didn’t mean to bring up…"

As Meera's voice trailed off, a pang of sympathy surged through her heart. It was no secret among his fans, the ARMY, how deeply he cherished the memories of his grandmother. The pain of her loss still lingered, etched into the lyrics of his song "Winter Bear," a heartfelt tribute to the woman who had held a special place in his heart. Being an ARMY herself, Meera knew this topic was sensitive to Taehyung, and she felt guilty that she had unintentionally hurt him.

"No, it's okay," Taehyung interrupted gently, his hand reaching out to squeeze Meera's in a comforting gesture. "It took me years, but I have accepted the reality. She is in a better place now."

Meera's eyes softened with understanding, her gratitude evident in the slight curve of her lips.

Taehyung continued with a genuine smile, "Your memories of your grandmother are beautiful. I would like to meet her someday."

"Unfortunately, you won't get to meet my grandmother. She passed away last year," Meera explained softly.

Taehyung's expression softened further with sympathy, and he offered her a reassuring smile. "I'm sure she was an amazing woman, just like my 'halmeoni.'"

Meera's heart warmed at his words, a sense of peace settling over her. "Thank you, Taehyung."

"Like you said, your 'halmeoni' and my grandma both are in a better place now," Meera continued, her voice tinged with affection. "Along with my 'daadu.'"

Taehyung's confusion was evident as Meera mentioned her "daadu," but sensing his confusion, Meera quickly clarified the term, explaining its meaning with a fond smile. "Dadu" means paternal grandfather.

Understanding dawned on Taehyung's features as he realized that both of Meera's grandparents were no longer in the world. He saw tears welling up in her eyes as she remembered them.

So he tried to lighten the mood with a playful joke. "Oh, I'm sure he must be romancing with your 'halmeoni' in heaven," he joked lightly, wanting to lift the heaviness of the conversation.

Meera's laughter bubbled up, a melodic sound that filled the room with warmth. Taehyung couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for her, admiring the way she found lightness even in moments of sorrow.
