The first thing I notice when I wake up is Niko's warm body on top of me, his hands wrapped around me, and the rise and fall of his chest matching mine.

We probably passed out after the fuck fest that happened—I look at the clock on the bedside table—about two hours ago. That means our positions changed during said sleep because I remember me laying on Niko's chest, not the other way around.

I stroke his hair, leaning over and inhaling his scent. His smell always brings me some kind of comfort and reassurance for some reason. It's like it's telling me I'm gonna protect you until the day I die.

Nikolai moans and rubs his head into my hand like a puppy. I smile, kissing his eyelids. He opens his eyes and smirks, then raises his head to look at me.

"Hmm, so soft," he says, with that sleepy voice that makes me shiver, resting his jaw on my chest and tightening his hands around my waist.

   "Me?"

   "Mhm, like a feather."

I caress Niko's cheek, and he closes his eyes, breathing soft and deep. We stay in bed, in silence, holding each other.

"I wish we could stay in bed for the rest of the day," I mumble.

"Let's do that then," he responds.

"You know we can't," I chuckle. "By the way, we're going to have to tell everyone about our engagement. Maybe tonight?"

"Yeah, it's gonna be a disaster. Can't wait," he laughs with excitement, making me smile and shake my head.

This man is like a fifteen-year-old girl who loves any kind of drama or gossip. I swear, one time he came home and spent two hours gossiping about some couple from the other side of the island. Neither I nor he had ever heard of these people before, but somehow he knew everything. I'm guessing Ava or Ari had something to do with this.

"You're such a drama king," I say, rolling my eyes.

"Thank you," he gives me a proud smile.

I love that smile. And that look in his eyes every time he looks at me. It's a good alternative to the empty, emotionless one.

"Only you could take that as a compliment."

He looks so dreamy and beautiful, I want to kiss him.

So I do. Grabbing Nikolai by his hair, I slam my mouth to his, plunging my tongue in to find his. Kissing him has always felt so easy. It feels so good to just melt into him and become one big bundle of uncontainable lust.

"Let's go shower," Nikolai whispers before picking me up and walking to the bathroom.

He turns on the water and puts me down. We get in the shower and under the water stream, the water immediately soaking us. My cock twitches and comes to life when I take in Niko's naked form: Hard muscles and tanned skin covered in tattoos have been my favorite view for the last two years.

I take the shovel gel, but Niko grabs it out of my hands and squirts some onto his palm. He washes me slowly and softly, looking at me like I'm his god and he's ready to worship at my feet.

I'm sure he would if I asked him to.

"I'm so hard right now, I'm gonna burst," he whispers, smirking.

My cock leaks against my abs, aching for attention, so I roll my hips against Nikolai's, eliciting a groan out of both of us. He picks up on it, grinding his own hips into mine. I find his lips, gliding my fingers into his hair and warring my tongue inside his mouth.
