Mia looked nervously at the street between the curtains.

Behind her, she could hear Autumm crying softly. Winter had his hands around her and was holding her tightly.

All the documents they had gathered together were still lying untouched on the table.

" We have to do something quickly! He can probably already guess that we're behind this," she said nervously.

Winter stroked Autumn's back. "We have to go to the police!"

Autumn's thoughts were still with her father.

Panic was the only thing Autumn felt. Her father was still with her. She hoped that Winter would turn up at any moment, or Mia, but someone had to come.

Her father paced up and down the living room like a predator. He had just been called. She didn't know exactly what the caller had told him. But it had made him more than angry.

"Are you lying to me Autumn?" His voice pulled her back from her thoughts.

She managed to shake her head.

" Then explain to me why your little boyfriend is sniffing around my nursery! And why someone robbed my safe!" He banged his fist on the table in front of him.

"I don't know." Her voice was quiet.

"If I find out that you're behind this, you're finished!" With that, he left the house.

Her breathing was quickly, her hands shake. " Autumn.... My Love... He's gone. I'm here." Winter tried to calm her down further.

Mia started looking through the documents.

She quickly found what she was looking for. Monthly sums of money were transferred to an anonymous account. She scrolled further. Roger seemed to be laundering money. Then a letter fell into her hands.

The job is done. It said. Attached to the letter was another piece of paper. A bank statement. Roger had transferred money to a foreign account on the day everything happened. Where everyone's life had changed.

These must have been the guys he'd hired.

She turned the page. So Siobhan was also involved in the money laundering, ok, she might have guessed.

Now she came across a page where the members of the board of directors were listed. Listed at the bottom as the oldest member was... Charlotte?!

Mia stared at her name. Then she reached for the sheets of paper Winter had brought with him.

"It's Charlotte.....", Mia's voice was just a whisper.

Winter looked up. Autumn also raised her head, she seemed to be slowly calming down again.

"What...?" Winter spoke.

Mia looked at the two of them. " Charlotte is the spy. She betrayed us..."

Roger and Siobhan were in his office.
"And you didn't see who it was!" he shouted.

The blonde shook her head.

" Damn it!!! Where the hell is Charlotte?! Didn't she want to come too?"

"She wanted to make a detour to the nursery first. To cover up the last traces. Roger, you'd better call your lawyer..."

Winter helped Autumn out of the car. Mia was still behind the wheel. They were standing in front of the police station. "Mia, are you coming?" asked Winter.

But she shook her head. " Go on in. I'll catch up with you, I have to make a little detour first." With that, she raced off.

Charlotte looked through the files. Where the hell were the things? She held her flashlight in her mouth. She wanted to cover as many tracks as possible.
