The girl came back a few moments, and she held some books. How joyous she felt, and her luck had actually turned
"I hope these would suit you."
She smiled "You read too?"
"No, but my grandmother loved to, but she passed before she could teach me."
Lana knew how it hurt to lose a loved one, and she had also lost every-one of them and lived alone in a foreign land. "My apologies, do you want to learn to read?"
She nodded eagerly, "Yes, that would be a blessing."
"I could teach you when I have some time off."
"Thank you so much........................"
"It's Lana."
"Lana." The girl tested out her name,
"Brytha."
"Lovely to meet you."
"I would love to be your friend, Lana if you don't mind."
Lana was more than pleased. "I would love that."
"Well, I will see you then."
Lana smiled at the girl, she ran back and went into Xerses room and he was awake.
"Where have you been?"
"I went to roam around."
Xerses stood up and made her way towards her. "You went roaming?"
She nodded, and he was inching closer. She held up the books in her hand. "Here is the proof."
"You love to read?"
"Yes. It's one of my delights."
"Of course her Highness does."
"Yes....." she let out a squeak as he carried on inching closer to her.
Now he stood in front of her, and tilted her face towards him, "I have ears everywhere, so be careful to not do something that would tarnish you."
She nodded very quickly. "I would never dream of such."
"Besides, I own you."
Lana wanted to refuse but held herself. Making him upset had dire consequences.
"Why aren't you agreeing?"
"I do."
"You do what?"
"I belong to you."
He left, and she sat in front of the furnace and felt herself drying, as she looked at the books that her friend had given to her and gasped.
Most of them exceeded the age restriction and they detailed the consummation in depth, earning them the name of forbidden tales.
She contemplated if she should read it or not. But she did need to pass some time, so she began reading the books.
Her face flushed at the way the man and the woman communicated and pulled her in for a kiss, and she blushed.
"What are you reading?"
Lana jumped, she had not heard Xerses come back. "Nothing."
He seemed to be taking in her face, which was probably as red as a tomato.
"Doesn't seem to be nothing."
"It would not interest you."
"Now that you said that, I'm interested as to what it's about?"
"It's about........................"
There was a knock on the door, and Xerses was being called.
"We will finish this later."
She nodded, and sighed in relief that he had been called, and she didn't want him to know that she was enjoying such shameful tales.
Yet she carried on reading them even though it was sinful and was so immersed in them.
Xerses came back into the room, and she started, looked at him, her face flushed once more and he seemed to notice.
He walked up to her and pulled her in. Before she could protest, his lips met hers hungrily.
