(Kazuki Tanaka lived an ordinary life in the serene suburbs of Kyoto as he struggles to find his own identity and purpose. As he returns from school, he then sees his mother waiting for him at home.)
Chieko: Oh, Kazuki! Welcome back! I have some news for you.

Kazuki: What's up, mom?
Chieko: We're going to Tokyo.
Kazuki: Wait, we're moving?
Chieko: That's right.
Kazuki: (sighs) Oh well, I gotta go to my room now.
(As he goes to his room, his sister Genko comes in and turns to his mother.)
Genko: What happened to him?
Chieko: Well, it's a long story.
(In his room, Kazuki pulls out a Gameboy, and prepares to play as a black cat he found and adopted recently approaches him and lays next to him.)

(As the cat meows, Kazuki turns to it.)
Kazuki: I guess we both have problems, huh?
(The cat purrs as he rubs his fur.)
(Next morning, Kazuki and his family moved to Tokyo, and lived in a new house that someone was generous to sell to them. Hours later, Kazuki walked into the streets to take some reflections. Hours later, he returns home, but besides his mother and sister, he sees two girls doing chores at their new house.)
Kazuki: Uh... mom? Who are those two?
Chieko: These are some maids we paid.

????: Nice to meet you, big boy. My name is Hisui, and this is Kohaku. (checks on Kazuki) I can sense a dormant power within you.
Kazuki: Huh?
(Suddenly, Kai sees one of his hands glowing, and then the rest of his body glows as well, catching both Chieko and Genko's attentions, and suddenly some familiar wings grow on his back. As the light fades out, Kazuki, his mother and his sister get shocked by what they see. Hisui and Kohaku turn to each other, and nod in agreement.)

KazukI: Okay, so you're saying that I'm the current White Dragon Emperor? And I am a rare case of a man having superpowers?
Hisui: You got the gist of it.

Kohaku: I know that's a lot to take it, but that will make sense soon.
Hisui: Also, there is a girl who used to be mistreated by several people for having a demon sealed within her. We have a reason to believe it's the very demon that destroyed the city years ago.
Kazuki: I take it's a bad thing.
Kohaku: It is. That's why we helped her ever since she was little.
