𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 . . . 𝐓𝐕𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐀

𝟏𝟒. 𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝

𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞

Maisie decided to go to the Grill after school. Jeremy was working today, and she wanted to surprise him on the clock, since all of her friends were busy and she had nothing better to do.

Maisie had been pretty uneasy for the last month, considering Jeremy and Anna were still friendly and she had enrolled at Mystic Falls High School. She had half of her classes with him since they were in the same grade, and she had been texting him every single day – it was really beginning to piss Maisie off. Granted, Jeremy never responded, but Maisie didn't understand why Jeremy couldn't just block the bitch.

"She doesn't know anyone here, Mais. I have to at least be nice." Jeremy would say when she asked why she couldn't just go away.

Maisie walked into the familiar hang out spot in her small town, ready for some french fries and a Dr Pepper. The bell rang, which caused the workers to look over at the door. She waved to Matt, who was bussing some tables, and gazed around to try and spot her boyfriend. She eventually saw him going behind a dark corner, so she decided to go and follow him and try to surprise him.

Maisie made her way over to the dark corner and clutched the wall, ready to pop her head into the dim light and surprise her boyfriend. She looked around, and saw her boyfriend, kissing Anna.

"Oh my fucking god." Maisie spoke, revealing her presence. Jeremy turned around, his face immediately turning white with fear and embarrassment. Anna poked out from behind him, a devilish smile creeping across her face.

"Oops." the girl said, a small laugh escaping her mouth.

"You can't be fucking serious." Maisie said, feeling tears welling in her eyes. She tried her best to keep them in – there was no way she was going to let Jeremy or Anna see her break.

Jeremy immediately pushed off of Anna and ran to Maisie, but Maisie stepped back. She refused to let him get anywhere near her after this.

"Maisie, please. Let me explain." Jeremy begged, his voice breaking.

"There's nothing to explain. You're a fucking cheater." Maisie spat, and left the corner before either of the two had the chance to respond.

Maisie ran out of the Mystic Grill, ignoring the pleas from Jeremy and the concerned calls from Matt. She wanted nothing to do with anyone, she didn't want to tell her friends, her brother or her sister, or even her best friend Tyler.

This was the worst heartbreak that Maisie had ever felt.
