"Kir!!" Souma yelled in anxiety. He woke up from his deep unconsciousness.
On waking up he found himself hospitalised and bandaged all over his body. The glucose drip was provided to him continously. He tried to move alittle but he felt pain shivering down his spine as he was severely injured. Soon he knew that he can only move his face and mouth in his current condition. Awhile later the door to his room opens and a familiar face enters.
"Huh! Souma!! You woke up?!" Commader Satoru states as he softly hugs his son, 'Souma'.
"I feel grateful to God that your safe and sound." Satoru continued.
"Let him rest, Satoru we have still some duties to do." Diabolik intrepts the family moment of father-son duo.His voice was a bit heavy and rough. A feeling of frustration and anger was hidden behind his words.
Hearing Diabolik's words Souma steadies himself to go. Suddenly Souma stops them with his faint low-voice.
"Father, Uncle, let me go with you too." Souma mumbled.
"Be serious Son, you are in no position to go." Satoru harshly rejects Souma's request.
"I have already looked over the report of Kir and you on ceremony. Not only you have a worrisome future but is also physical disabled right now. This will only burden and slow our work." He continued.
"Listen Souma, this matter is to handle by adults. Your persistence to join is acceptable but the odds are against us. Your condition matters most. So if you really want to help just stay here and rest. Later we will ask you alot of question that can be count as your participation." Diabolik reassured him.
"But Uncle Kir is gone!! I cannot beleive it. If I don't help you in finding him, I...I cannot get a sense of relief." Souma relentessly states.
The converstaion comes to an end. Both of them deals with Souma in calm way reassuring him to not worry and rest well or else his anxiety will become a hurdle in his recovery and then he himself will become a worrisome hurdle for them in search of Kir. Souma remains speechless on their statements and cries to his fate. After a while both of them leaves the room.
The duo began their investigation at the ruins of orphanage. It was razed to ground. Anything picked up easily turns to dust soon. Their was no leads until Diabolik said,
"Hm, it seems the area is either bombed or destroyed by Xenostian's Silent Laser."
"So this is also work of Xenostians!! Damnit Bastards!!" Satoru rages on Diabolik's statement.
"What about Kir? Any leads?" Diabolik asks with worry.
"No leads." Satoru shakes his head in 'No'.
"We can only hope for headquaters to help now." He finishes.
Losing all hopes for Kir and being helpless in their heart both leaves and heads to hospital back. Souma was waiting for them on wheelchair in the garden. He was reminiscing about his past memories; all those memories he spent at orphanage; and his happy time together with his friends, family and obviously Kir. The pain from those memories forced 'little pearls' to fell from his eyes. One by one those memories became knives piercing his heart. All was nothing but a fragment of past.
"Poor child! He lost his family again." Satoru, who was looking towards him from distance exclaimed.
"Reality does not goes as we planned, Satoru you need to make him realise this and cheer him up." Diabolik said.
Slowly Satoru draws himself closer to Souma and said,
"Son, I know how it feels to you right now but you cannot stick to it forever, such things comes and goes but what matters is our potential to recover up. Cheer up son it's time to move on."
"Did you find Kir?" Souma asked without wavering, ignoring what his father said.
".....No." Satoru replied with alittle hesitation.
"He was their with me.. just a minor distance it was." Souma sobbed.
"What was it that you saw there?" Diabolik intrepts the conversation.
"Uh-" Souma get surprised by sudden intreption.
"Senior Diabolik at least let him recover first." Satoru speaks on Diabolik 's sudden intreption.
"No let him speak it will beneficial to both sides. So now tell me what you saw." He asked again.
"Uh.. It was pitch dark... my memory of that is clear upto the part of orphanage seen destroyed by us both." Souma begins with a little hesitation,
"We both arrived from ceremony and after seeing our destroyed home we wailed and cried. It was razed to ground as if bombed. Kir then showed strange behaviour as he cursed God. His eyes sparked and jolts of energy began to run around him. His body started to radiate light and a terrific pressure gathered around us it was painful to even be there. Soon a surge of energy occured and darkness took over the area resulting in a dark blast. Last thing I remember before I lost my consciousness is Kir being teleported." He explained all the story.
"What!? You sure you were not hallucinating?" Satoru said with a shocked face.
"No." Souma said with confidence.
"If it's the truth then there's alot to this case than Xenostians only." Diabolik said.
As the duo began to move, Souma stops them once again.
"Father, I want to aid you in finding him. Kir is not a friend but my last family member left alive. And as a brother of him I need to search him." Souma straighten his back and said.
"But your condition--," Satoru get's interepted.
"Kir; has already gave me solution to my null phantom ability. After my recovery I will apply for Martial Art Sect and will get it's legacy by wining the competition they hold for inheriting the phantom ability." Souma speaks with resolve.
The conversation leaves Satoru speechless. Diabolik standing their smiles and claps for young child's strong word. In end Satoru has to bow to Souma's decision.
"Sigh! You are too stubborn Souma." Satoru sighed in frustration.
"Let him try Satoru it will also help him to get stronger and keep him busy until we find Kir." Diabolik standing near them said.
"Okay, Souma I will let you do as you say on three condition. First to win the Sect competition; Second to defeat me after you win the competition; And third to not engage in investigation with Xenostians way too much than needed." Satoru said.
Listening this Souma gets overjoyed and felt relieved. He looks up in sky and murmurs,
"Kir, no matter where you are, I will find you and then we both together take revenge for our family."
