[Obanai pov]

I've liked Mitsuri for a long time. Since she became a hashira, I haven't been able to get my mind off of her.

Not only that, but whenever she talks to the other hashira, even Shinobu, I feel so much jealousy that it hurts.

Yeah, she talks to me. Sometimes she offers me some of her food.

I decline, though.

That's kinda obvious.

It makes me flustered, though. Just thinking about her.

So I've decided to finally confess to her tonight, before she heads off on a mission.

[Mitsuri pov]

I wish finding love was as easy as it sounds!!

One day you run into someone that makes you feel all fuzzy inside, and the feelings are returned, and you get married and live happily ever after!!

But life isn't that kind to me, so I'm still waiting.

...Sorta.

Obanai has been on my mind for a while. When I first met him when I joined the hashira, I have to admit, I thought he was a little odd. But now that I've gotten to know him a little better, I honestly think he's pretty cute~!

Regardless of the fact that he wears that mask all the time, I still find myself fantasizing about those pretty two-toned eyes of his~! And his hair, his skin, it's all cute! Not to mention his strength- it's incredible!

I've been thinking about asking him out, but every time the thought comes to mind, I get all flustered!

So I've decided to wait a little longer... just a little...

[Obanai pov]

I walk around the Butterfly Mansion, searching for Mitsuri to tell her before she leaves...

As I step out into the garden, I see her walking away from having a conversation with Rengoku. I feel a pang of jealousy hit me, my hands clenching into fists. I exhale, slowly taking a few steps toward her.

"Oh- Obanai-kun! Hallooo~!" She says as she skips over to me, a large smile on her face. The sunlight reflects off of her pink and green hair, her bright green eyes glimmering.

I feel my cheeks heat up as she makes it over to me.

"Mitsuri-chan- Hi- uh.. I wanted to talk to you, a-actually.." I stutter, my hand moving up to my neck as I rub the back of it nervously.

"Oh! Of course! What is it~? Though, make it quick- I have to get going for my mission soon-!" She says, grinning widely.

I glance around to make sure that none of the other hashira are around, and I exhale shakily.

"W-Well.. um.." I mutter, my stomach twisting. "I-I've been wanting to tell you this.. for a r-really long time..."

She tilts her head slightly with a confused look on her face.

That's so adorable...

"Mitsuri-chan-... Ireallylikeyou-!" I say quickly, looking down at the floor as my face begins burning.

She doesn't say anything for a moment, and I immediately regret even coming over here. I feel dread wash over me.

She's going to reject me, isn't she...

[Mitsuri pov]

No way~!!

Obanai just.. confessed to me~!

I'm ecstatic!!

"Oh, Obanai-kun..." I say softly, bringing my hand to the side of his face, tilting his head back up to look at me. This  causes even his ears to turn red..

Kyaaa~! So cute~

I gently plant a kiss on his forehead, watching the uncovered part of his face go completely red.

I giggle quietly as he turns his head away, and I lower my arm.

"I really like you too, Obanai~!"

I wrap my arms around him gently, and I feel him rest his head on my shoulder.

As soon as I get back from my mission, I'm going to spend so much time with him~ just talking and laughing~!

I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it~!
