"Cloudlock?"
The seeker blinked a few times before turning their head, looking up to the small red Terran who just spoke. He was a little thankful that she and Thrash had learned to use a more gentle voice when he spaced out like that- What were they doing again?
"It's late.. Are you coming back inside?"
Cloudlock moved his gaze back up to the sky. Oh right. The stars... He had been laying on his back star gazing. He could've sworn he saw a familiar constellation of stars for a moment..
There was almost a minute of silence before he sat up, resting his head in his servos."Yeah... Yeah, I'll be there in a moment.."
Though he was expecting the sounds of small pedes to walk off, the noises never came. Instead he heard the noise of someone taking a seat next to him. Left his head up a bit, he saw Twitch comfortably sat next to them.
"Why do you keep looking at the stars if they make you upset?"
She asked with a sort of tired, yet curious hum, Making the seeker tense up a bit.
"Upset...??"
"You never stargaze with us when we want to do it as a group, and when you do it by yourself, you always get this look on your face and it takes you forever to snap out of it-"
Twitch looked up into Cloudlock's cyan optics, though their gaze never met as he turned his head away, a look of nervousness and... something else became more obvious. He was uncomfortable.
"It's nothing, I swear. The stars just... get me thinking sometimes.."
"Didn't mom and dad say something about lying being bad?"
It was less of a question and more of a point out to his obvious lie. Cloudlock didn't respond however, just looking down at the grass. He didn't want to dump his thoughts to the young bot- It wasn't her responsibility. Nor did he want this to weigh on her processor. After what felt like forever, they spoke again.
"It's... stuff relating to the war..."
That alone was enough for Twitch to not question further. Talking anything related to the war was seen as a "big no no around Cloudlock" according to Bee. And that was saying something coming from the mech who had seemingly fun stories about it. But Twitch also had to remind herself that Cloudlock was a decepticon. That itself was also a can of worms that was very hard to get into, even trying to get Megatron to talk about it seemed impossible.
"Just... go back inside. I'll be in soon. Promise."
The seeker spoke quietly, though loud enough for the smaller bot to hear. Though hundreds of questions where clawing around Twitch's head, she nodded and got up, turning and heading back to the barn. For a brief moment, Cloudlock saw Thrash about to leave the barn too, but at the sight of his sister coming back, he seemed to change his mind.
Cloudlock then looked back up at the sky. The stars. The sight he used to love so dearly.
But now tainted by what he would never get back again.
