Context: Eruhaben noticed that Cale is trying to hide traces of blood and after all the problems that the redhead had had he is afraid so he goes directly to ask Cale but the conversation goes differently
_____
Back in the room the golden dragon helped him sit up in bed and put pillows behind his back. Once he saw that he was properly seated, he too sat down in the chair next to Cale's bed.
"Hmm, why is he staying?" »
For some reason he felt a cold sensation at the back of his head. The same feeling he felt when danger approached. And all he could think about was what happened at the table earlier.
"He didn't see the blood, did he? Hmm ? »
-Good luck !
-I'm sorry...
The old powers only made him more anxious. He was sure that was it now.
Eruhaben, who had been looking at Cale's face for a few minutes, could see that he was getting nervous. After spending the last few weeks with him he could better recognize these expressions even if the young master could hide them well.
"Why is he so scared?...*sigh* I would never hurt him...maybe he's not used to this..." he decided to try to calm down all this stress n was not good for his heart.
Contrary to the golden dragon's thoughts, this stress was indeed not good for him but not for his heart. As his former power told him he must be careful and not overdo it so as not to feel the side effects of the pills. And this stress was starting to make him exhausted; his emotions risked becoming unstable like his body and his records...
Eruhaben gently took her hand, he decided to speak to her calmly and peacefully.
"Cale I know you hid it from us that you coughed up blood and..." he could feel Cale stiffen in his palm and flinch slightly. "I told you that you should always tell us about your health okay even the smallest thing... we only do it to help you... I would never hurt you, I promise you, I would do anything to help you get better..." at the same time as he spoke to her he gently stroked her hand to soothe her.
Cale who listened to the words of the dragon found himself in his memories of his abusive uncle. His reaction wasn't as violent as before, he had better control over his drives and the calming touch on his hand kept him from getting lost like before. But he still found it difficult to differentiate from reality and began to apologize.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to...I'm sorry..."
"It doesn't matter, just tell me the truth about your condition."
He did not react and continued to apologize.
"I'm sorry...sorry..."
"Cal? "
Eruhaben noticed Cale's behavior and immediately understood that he was trapped in his memories again.
He took him in his arms and reassured him. At first contact he trembled but then began to relax.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm with you, you're safe, I'll protect you."
After a few minutes he was able to get out.
"Eruhaben-nim...thank you"
"Don't worry," he just smiled at her and let go of her hug but still kept his hand. He wanted to try to talk about his memories without rushing him too much so that he wouldn't bottle up all his feelings but to help him free himself.
"Cale, did anyone...hurt you when you were a child? " he decided to ask his question directly. His voice was still soft but he grew angry after feeling the tremor in the hand he was holding signaling that he was right.
