Y: Another day, huh?
I say, hesitantly opening my eyes up to the blinding rays of the sun through my window. I cover my eyes with my arm before looking away over to the alarm clock.
Y: Oh shit.. it's 11 AM already?! I need to get going to my date!
Hi, I'm Y/N! You probably don't know me, most people really don't. You see, I use to live outside of this town before my house kinda... burned to the ground. Don't ask, it involved this prisoner dude and I just.. it's a mess.
As I hopped out of bed I quickly got my most average clothes on, actively avoiding anything that looked too feminine or masculine. Although I felt like a guy, I recently was starting to reconsider who I really was and who I want to be. Don't get me wrong, I feel very comfortable in my own body as it is, but my mind believes that I am somebody that I'm not...

I had left the house already, sighing to myself after that whole tiring monologue to myself. Before I knew it, I had reached the Leblanc Cafe, putting my hands on my knees and breathing heavily due to just how much I had ran. And that's when I saw them...
Their glistening white hair with black ends, their simple yet perfect blue jacket, their black-ish pants... there was no doubt about it. It was them, my date.
Y: Are you Honest Lie?
I said, calmly trying to reassure myself that I didn't have the wrong cat. They flicked their head over to me, somewhat confused.
H: You're Y/N, yeah? I mean, you look like the cute guy from the pictures.
They had a snarky yet calming attitude. Like they were expecting me to be as nervous as I am now. But the way he said that compliment made my skin crawl. My face turned extremely red, my hands getting shaky.
Y: Y-yes! I'm Y/N! It's so nice to s-see you, Honest! You look very...
I desperately tried not to think of anything too weird, but everything I could say in this situation would've been weird either way...
Y: ...Dashing?
H: Why, thank you. You don't look too bad yourself, I must say.
Y: R-Really?!
They nodded before sitting down at an outside table, two drinks already on said table.
H: I know that tea is your favorite, but I wasn't quite sure of what flavor, so I went with my personal favorite, lemon tea.

I started blushing harder, quickly sit down as to not let them see me shake anymore.
Y: L-lemon is also my favorite flavor! What a coincidence, hehehe...
H: Guess I am just lucky. This happens quite a bit. Over so many relationships. A lot of unavoidable battles I have had to go through in order to get into another date without being interrupted by a bunch of liars.
They looked away for a second before focusing their attention back onto me, staring right into my eyes. I sat their silently, unsure of what I could say, but without warning, they suddenly started speaking once more.
H: You have a very common eye color, I see.
Y: Oh! Well that's uh--
H: I like that. Commonality is very rare in people who are unique as you, and especially as cute as you.
I don't know how, but in that exact moment, I left my heart skip a beat. Their voice was so smooth and calming, almost like it was made to lure people in...
Oh god... WAS I THE FISH HE WAS TRYING TO CAPTURE WITH THEIR BAIT?!

Thank you for reading the first chapter of my fanfic, I hope you enjoyed it! I spent a lot of time planning this out, so it would be really great if you could give it a like and maybe tell me your favorite part of the chapter! Chapter 2 will be coming out soon, I promise, just sit tight!
