Chapter 6

•{I can't wait}•

I was tired as it was, and a party was the last thing I wanted to visit. I hear Adam on the other line of the FaceTime

When I got home, I got a FaceTime call from Adam about this party. "Come on you're still young and sexy, let's go to the party".

I glare at him and point at his face "The only reason you want to go there is to hook up with a guy".

He raises his hands in defiance "Hey, what's bad about that?". In the process, he side-eyes me "You should loosen up a bit, have fun you know".

I look outside thinking about his proposition "Ok sure I can join, but I'm driving". Adam clapped his hands excitedly "Pick me up at the usual place". I nodded and turned off the call.

I peeled off my clothes and took on some casual clothes. Green T-shirt with some black jeans and black shoes. I look at myself in the mirror and debate if I should wear the green. Eh, I'm too tired to stress about it.

I kept a silver watch on my wrist and my family's silver crest ring on my finger.

I take my keys and wallet before leaving the house and getting ready to "party" I emphasis.

-Party-

After picking up Adam and parking the car in an appropriate place we walk towards the house.

"Hopefully this isn't a waste of my time" I huff. Adam pats me on the back "Why can't you just relax and use most of the time".

When we walk in, I see blue and purple lights flashing around the house. If you asked me this party was average at best. There are people still coming in, and out of the blue a girl is holding my arm. "Hey Rowan" she says making me feel the alcohol coming of her. I shake my hand from her gripe "Don't, I am tired and angry as it is".

Adam interrupts and pushes the girl away so there is a gap between the girl and me. She looks at Adam angrily "Hey! I was talking to him". He looks at her with raised eyebrows "Girl no, you were sexually assaulting the guy". The girl looks Adam up and down and smiles "No I wasn't", with a disgusted look Adam adds "Don't even think about it girl, I'm gay".

While they were going off on each other I sat on a sofa with a drink looking around the area. People talking, making out in a corner, and others finding a place to fuck. I huff out thinking about Earth today. Usually, she doesn't even look or talk to me, but now I got a reaction from her.

I sipped my drink with a smile on my face. After Adam kicked the girl to the curb he sat down beside me. "Are you having lady problems?" I scoff at his question. My problems with girls have never been negative, especially when it comes to the bedroom. But a problem with Earth I did have. Problem that has been gnawing at my insides for a while.

I look at Adam "There is a good-looking guy that is staring at you" I say trying to change the topic. He bites back with "Let him stare, he wouldn't be the first". I look away seeing as my distraction didn't work. "Rowan, I dragged you to this party so you could let loose of some...family stress" he whispers the last part.

Without thinking twice, I shoot back "Don't! Take up my family, not when we are around other people". After my Sebastion went against my dad about taking over the company the responsibility fell on me. Yes, it is a big responsibility and yes it will be hard on me, but the difficulty for me has doubled.

I understand why my dad is angry. I do but sometimes I feel like he is trying to prove a point instead of caring about his own. There for, making me a human punching bag that needs to work while hurting.
