"This party is AWESOME." called Joan over the heavy baseline of the speakers, to her friends. Joan is the daughter of two gods, one Greek and the other Roman. She doesn't know that she is the daughter of these two different Gods.
For the past 12 years she has been living with her adopted parents, Jacob and Amy Matthews, in New York. According to them when her real parents died in a house fire when she was an infant she was they only surviver and she was sent aside into an orphanage. Since living with them for the 9 years she's never spoke or thought about them the 'tragedy' that took them away from her...
Today is Joan's 16th birthday and all of her friends were with her partying the night away; heavy baslines, flashing lights in dark rooms, the yelling of teens singing, talking, yelling over the music, ect. Then there was a faint knock at the door, which somehow joan heard, Joan stumbled through the small crowd of her friends to go answer it. She was faced with two middle aged adults, the woman beamed down at her, then the woman clasped her hands over her face.
"Good Evening Joan, are you busy? We need to talk to you" said the male standing in her doorway. Joan just stood there looking suspiciously at the two people in her doorway.
"Is it the music? I can turn it down, I'm sorry it's so loud sir." She gave a small smile at the couple, the man shook his head.
"It's not that, dear. We both really have to talk to you, what time does this party end?" Joan shrugged and looked back up at the tall male. "Probably about... 11:30?" The male pulled out, what seemed like a pocket watch, and flipped it open.
"Soon then, Miss Jackson?" she nodded and watched as he placed the watch back into one of his pockets. "Would you mind if we came in then, to wait for the party to end?""errr... sure...you may want to go upstairs then, its more quiet up there." her voice is filled with a uneasiness as she leads the two inside, she points to the stairs. "It's that way to go upstairs." she calls over the music. The couple nod and begin to slight through the croud of joans friends. Joan breathes and glides a hand through her hair. She then scambles back to her small group she was at before, Rebecca smiles at her friends return and hugged Joan.
"What took you so long Joan, your missing your own party girl!" Joan smiled as she pulled herself out of the death grip of Rebecca.
"A couple wanted to come in and talk to me" Rebecca pulled a face. "Dude chill, They seem cool. They didn't complain about the music, I think Jacob and Amy are selling the house. They must of thought I was Amy." Rebecca went to say something else but was silenced with Joans hand over her mouth. "Shut up Becca, dance with me woman!" Joan giggled and took her friends hand and began dancing stupidily together.
