"now where to start, Manya darling?"
"Grandma?"
"Oh dear,"
___Another day just passed by.
Coffee's brewing, Lunabelle! It's the
Same old routine, nothing new.
Oh, what a boring day,
Nothing new in her way.Days passed by Lunabelle followed the same old routine,
When she stumbled upon a half-torn poster on her route.___
"What did it say, Grandma?!"
___
"Equal votes for women" it stated.
She stopped looking at the poster when a man's voice read "Equal votes for women... It says." A voice so deep it would freeze your bones, and or bring your soul back to life. She looked over to her right, and a young man taller, very taller than her stood there, his hair brown. His lips are red. He's wearing a suit, to be specific a blue-colored suit. He tilted his head in her direction, his amber-brown eyes glazing her sapphire oceans. The Sun shone bright that day, lighting up the sky like a blaze.
As though by some magical force, the winter cold seemed to fade away,
The cold chill of winter still lingered in the air, a ghostly reminder that the seasons wouldn't change so easily."Thought you should know about it... Women's rights." He said, strangely regardless of how amusingly gorgeous his face was his way of speaking... His tone irritated her. "I can... read. Mister." She confidentially reported yet made sure to put a significant emphasis on the 'read'.
Raising one brow, he grinned.
"I thought you couldn't." He said smirking. While She was glaring at him. " Why would you... think like that?... Mister." She questioned, almost offended by his comments. He grinned again! And started walking, he walked past her, she walked her way,
___
"But do you know what?" I say, Manya's blue oceans sparkled with curiosity and she jumped out of her chair "What grandma?!" I laughed at her silly moves brought her close to me and kissed her cheek. " I'll tell you when you get older." A wave of disappointment flushed over her innocent face, she pouted as usual and went up to her room.
It's been an hour since I recited the lore to Manya, she's playing in the backyard. I was working in the kitchen keeping an eye on Manya, Regardless of how responsible she is, she's still a child. While I was doing the dishes I heard a loud thump, I looked out from the window of the kitchen which gave a direct view of little Manya playing with the pebbles.
I rushed over to the hallway to find blood, All over the floor, and my husband was lying by the stairs... he fell apparently? My heart raced, I could almost hear my heartbeats, goosebumps all over my skin and I rushed over to Ryan and sat down in the pool of his blood, but what do I do? I couldn't think of anything... I should not panic. Let's be calm. Let's be calm.
I screamed and screamed for Henry, thankfully he was off from work today, when Henry arrived he took Ryan to the hospital where he was treated for five weeks.
Unfortunately, Ryan's legs were paralyzed after the accident. So, when he was home I spent my entire time taking care of him.
Manya tried a lot to ask me what happened next in the story but I couldn't buy the time nor the strength to tell her.
And for years the tale of Lunabelle remained untold.
