Slowly I wake up, again, with a massive headache. Yesterday it was from Leannes bitchslap, today from a hangover.
"Wake up! Sarah", Soso yells at me. "Dude, what do you want?", I say annoyed.
"We have some new people joining our strike!" I sit up and get out of bed quickly.
"Who is it?!"
"Sister Ingalls and yoga Jones!"
I smile at her and we hug in glee. "Yay!", I cheer.
I get ready and we quickly make our way to the cafeteria to sit with our new team.
"Good morning Sister Ingalls, Jones!", I say happily.
"Good morning", Jones says, "did you sleep well?"
We sit down and talk together.
"Do you guys have any requirements you'd like to add to our list?", Soso asks them and hands out the list.
They read through it for a moment and look at each other with impressed faces.
"Seems alright to me. I'd like to underline the respectful treatment of inmates twice", sister Ingalls says.
We discuss a little more before breakfast is over already and I go back to our room to check my van schedule. It's weekly, meaning I'm gonna have to get a new one from Luschek.
I prepare for a heavy atmosphere...

"You're crazy man", Bennett said, shaking his head. He didn't care what these motherfuckers had to say, though. George knew - they were destined to be.
"Shut the hell up Bennett. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. I take good care of my woman, not like you. When's the last time you saw Diaz? Or got her a present? Wrote her a love letter?"
Bennett stayed quiet.
I never thought I'd find someone like Sarah in a place like this. She's different from the others. The first time she asked me how I was, it threw me off... I thought to myself; what is this bitch trying right now?
No one here ever cares about me, not really. They see the uniform, the authority, the drugs, the meat, the dick... But Sarah looked past all that. She saw me.
It was such a simple question, 'How are you?'... But it felt like she was opening a door to a place I didn't know existed. Suddenly, I was no longer invisible. She listened when I talked about my interests, genuinely listened. That's never happened before.
I was never special or interesting. It was always about my brothers. I was one of many, always. I wasn't special, I was just... there.
I couldn't stop thinking about her after that. Her kindness, her curiosity about me – it awakened something deep inside. It was like a light in the darkness of this place, a lifeline. I needed more of it, more of her. The way she made me feel was intoxicating.
Every glance, every word she spoke to me, drew me in deeper. I became obsessed with the idea of protecting her, of keeping her safe from everything and everyone. I needed her to know that she was mine, that I would always be there for her.
I know it sounds insane, but I can't help it. She's the first person to ever see the real me, and I can't let that go. I won't let anyone take her away from me. She's mine, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep her by my side. No one else can have her. No one else deserves her. Only me.
