Chapter 9: Happy Birthday Melody!
Melody was happy asleep when she was woken up by her 3 birthday starring at her face.
Jason: she's awake
Boys: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELODY!
The boys throws confetti cannons at her
Melody: *sits up and groans* thanks guys. Now whose going to clean it up
Jason: oh uh... we haven't taught that head of it
Uncle Brown: *comes in* is the birthday girl up yet
Melody: Uncle Brown!
Uncle Brown: happy birthday angel
Melody: thanks Uncle Brown *gives her a side hug*
Shane: we got you presents
Melody: Gimmie Me! Gimmie Me! Gimmie Me!
The boys chuckles and Uncle Brown
Uncle Brown: after you have breakfast young lady
Melody: awww
Shane: dad called, he said to call him back when you wake up
Melody: okay. Did you guys decorate my room for me
Nate: we sure did
Melody: you guys didn't have to go through all this trouble for me
Shane: you only turn 13 once
Nate: thank god
Uncle Brown: I can't believe you're becoming the last teenager in the family
Melody: Uncle Brown doesn't make it sad. This is supposed to be a happy occasion
Uncle Brown: oh right, alright meet us in the den for breakfast and boys...
Shane: yes Uncle Brown?
Uncle Brown: clean this mess up
Boys: yes sir
Melody: while you boys clean that up, I'm going to get dressed
Shane: you're not going to help us
Melody: you're really going to make me clean a mess I didn't make on my birthday
Shane: I guess not
Nate: I told you the confetti's cannon was going to be messy
Shane: well then why didn't you stop us!
Jason: yeah you always stop us when we mess up
Nate: oh brothers
Shane: tell me about it
Nate shoves Shane and Shane shoves him back and they all rolled around in her bedroom and when she came out she looked at them with raised eyebrows.
Melody: *sighs* I leave for one minute and you guys already fighting
Boys: sorry
Melody: I'm just going to change in the bathroom *grabs her things and heads back into the bathroom*
Nate throws confetti at Shane and called him idiot not before Shane gave him a nuggie.
After Melody had a breakfast with the family it was time for her to received present. She got gifts from her brothers and her uncle brown and best friends and now it was time for more gift.
Melody: more gifts Uncle Brown, you're already throwing me a party. What more thing is there?
Uncle Brown: your mom was going to give this to you for your 13 birthday
Melody: mom?
Shane: open it sis
Melody ripped open the gift so fast and when she sees it her eyes teared up.
Melody: she's giving me her song book
Shane: hey... it even has the songs she wrote for Connect 3
Uncle Brown: she wanted you to keep it, to always remember that music is apart of you and forever will be and she want you to finish where she left off
Flynn: I really wished you had given her this book earlier
Uncle Brown: I had to wait for the right time
Melody: and it's definitely the right time. I know exactly what to do with this song book. I'm going to rewrite them for the band and I. What do you think guys?
Luke: I'm okay with it, I love writing new music materials
Melody: if that's okay with you guys *to her brothers*
Shane: of course we write our own songs now. Mom would be proud of you
Melody: thanks Shane *hugs him*
Uncle Brown: I gotta go check on how the decorating going, you don't leave the cabin
Melody: I won't Uncle Brown
Uncle Brown smiled and kissed her forehead.
Uncle Brown: happy birthday again angel
Melody: thanks Uncle Brown
Brown leaves leaving them with the boys and Flynn.
Luke: hey! Why don't we go work on some songs now
Melody: sure
Alex: actually... I have something to go do first
Flynn: like what?
Melody: you got this Alex
Alex: thanks Mel, happy birthday, see ya at your party
Flynn: what did I miss?
Reggie: don't you remember, Alex has a date tonight
Flynn: oh yeah, I hope it goes well
Melody: me too, Alex is not a skater
Luke: come on, let's go write those songs
Reggie: without Alex?
Luke: we wrote songs without Alex before remember
Reggie: oh yeah
Melody: bye guys
