~1 year later~

Time goes by in the blink of an eye, Seungcheol had finally graduated from college. His parents graduation gift for him was his studio where he can pursue his dreams and passion for making music.

Back then when Seungcheol left the Island, his parents was so awestruck of how much he had changed. He had proved to his parents and himself that he could be a better person despite of his fucked up past.

Seungcheol wanted to go back to Jeju the moment his graduation ended. He wanted to go back to Jeonghan, to feel the boy's embrace, to hear his soft giggles, to hear his soothing and relaxing voice. Oh how much he misses the merman so much but he endured it well. Each passing days, his heart and mind is filled with nothing but only Jeonghan.

Everyday he endures the longing feeling because Seungcheol holds on to that one promise they made, everynight he would always kiss the pearl Jeonghan had given to him before falling asleep until it became his usual habit.

After his graduation, Seungcheol wasted no time as he convinced his parents that he would definitely go back to Jeju as there is something important in that Island that awaits him.

He even wanted to tell his mom and dad about Jeonghan but contemplated because he wanted his parents to meet Jeonghan in person before finally revealing their relationship.

After receiving his parents permission to finally go back to his grandmother's place, Seungcheol wasted no time. The next morning, he took a plane and flew to Jeju.

Upon his arrival, his grandmother welcomed him with a warm hug. The old woman was so happy that her grand child came back and visited her once again. After a little catching up, Seungcheol finally excuse himself as he finally went out of the house.

The familiar scent of the ocean filled his senses.

His heart was beating so fast out of excitement at the thought of seeing the love of his life after a long period of time.

Nothing had changed, he always had this happy feelings whenever he thinks about the merman boy.

"Jeonghannie!" He yelled out. His voice filled with longing.

He sat on the rock, the same rock where they had bid their goodbye to each other and the nostalgic feelings rushed through Seungcheol's whole being.  Their happy and sweet moments together flashed inside his mind that made him grinned like crazy.

"Jeonghannie I'm back! Baby where are you?" he called out once again but Jeonghan's presence could still no longer be felt.

He took out the pearl from his pocket and stared at it. It was the only thing that connected the two of them as of the moment. Jeonghan told him that as long as he had this pearl, Jeonghan would definitely know that he's back. Through the pearl, Jeonghan would definitely sense him and when that time will come, Jeonghan would difinitely go to the surface to welcome him.

If mermaid has a mobile phone, then it would be a lot easier, Seungcheol funnily thought.

He waited for that whole day but Jeonghan didn't came.

He waited again and again.

Days after days.

Nights after nights.
