Chapter 02
A New Start;

Deimos, a formidable warrior seasoned by countless battles, stood in his modest apartment, trying to calm the whirlwind of excitement that surged within him.
He closed his eyes, inhaling deeply, attempting to steady his racing heart and gather his thoughts.
His mind drifted to Amara, his beloved wife. In the second year of the doomsday apocalypse, a mysterious illness had claimed her vitality, leaving her in a comatose state.
It was a cruel twist of fate, for Amara had been his sanctuary, the one bright spot in a world gone dark. Despite his efforts, despite the resources he had poured into finding a cure, she remained unresponsive.
As the apocalypse stretched into its fifth year, Deimos had nearly given up hope. But today, a glimmer of excitement had sparked within him at the thought of seeing her again, possibly finding a way to bring her back.
With a final deep breath, Deimos forced himself to calm down. He needed to be methodical, to approach the day with the same discipline that had seen him through the darkest times.
He opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings. The apartment was sparsely furnished, a testament to the lean years he had endured. He set about cleaning, moving with the precision and efficiency of a soldier. Each sweep of the broom, each wiped surface, helped to clear his mind and focus his thoughts.
Once the apartment was spotless, Deimos sat at his small, worn-out desk and checked his balance. The display showed 100 credits. In this world, one credit was equivalent to 1000 points, making his total a significant amount. This wealth was a result of his relentless efforts and the rewards from the works .
Satisfied with his balance, Deimos dressed in his best available attire and prepared to venture into Area 8, the market district.
As he stepped outside, the stark contrast between his dingy apartment and the vibrant streets of Area 8 hit him. The market area was a hive of activity, bustling with life.
The streets were lined with magnificent buildings, their white facades gleaming in the sunlight, interspersed with lush greenery that added a touch of nature's serenity to the urban landscape. The architecture was a blend of modern innovation and classical elegance, with arches and columns that spoke of a grand history, now adapted for contemporary use.
Vendors called out from their stalls, hawking a wide array of goods, from fresh produce to exotic spices. Shoppers moved briskly, their chatter and laughter creating a lively soundtrack to the scene. Deimos moved through the crowd with practiced ease, his senses on high alert.
Years of living on the edge had ingrained in him a habit of vigilance. His eyes darted around, scanning for any potential threats or unusual activity. It was a survival instinct honed in the apocalyptic chaos, and it served him well even in this relatively peaceful environment.
He made his way to the technology district, where the latest gadgets and devices were on display.
As he entered a high-end tech store, the salesperson greeted him with the usual disinterest, but that changed quickly. Despite his worn-out clothes, Deimos exuded an undeniable aura of power and purpose. The salesperson's demeanor shifted to one of eager enthusiasm, sensing a significant sale.
Deimos approached the counter and examined the latest offerings. He selected two KOA-X Gen 21st smartphones, one in a sleek green finish and the other in a classic black. These devices were top-of-the-line, equipped with features that made them indispensable in both combat and daily life. Each smartphone cost 5 credits, a hefty price but well within his means.
Next, he turned his attention to a special item: the CNTA-Gen 32nd supercomputer. This piece of technology was a rarity, almost never in stock due to its high demand and exorbitant cost. At 50 credits, it was an investment, but one that Deimos deemed necessary for his plans. The supercomputer's capabilities were unparalleled, offering processing power that could aid him in numerous ways, from research to strategic planning.
After completing his purchases, Deimos sought out a realtor to find him an apartment in Area 1, known for its affluence and luxurious accommodations. The realtor, initially surprised by his request, quickly realized that Deimos was serious.
They agreed to start the process of finding a suitable home in the upscale district. Deimos also instructed the realtor to list his current apartment for sale, a step towards leaving his old life behind.
Feeling a sense of accomplishment, Deimos stopped at a small café for breakfast. He ordered a simple Chinese meal, savoring the flavors of the food as he contemplated the day's events.
The café was quaint, with an inviting atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the harsh world outside. It was a small pleasure, a reminder of the life he once knew and the life he hoped to build again.
After finishing his meal, Deimos returned to his apartment. He packed his belongings with meticulous care, ensuring that everything was in order. His most important possessions, those he couldn't afford to lose, he stored in his dimensional space—
a unique ability that had traveled back with him to this parallel world. This space was a secure haven, capable of holding anything he deemed valuable.
With his preparations complete, Deimos took a final look around his apartment. It had been a place of refuge during some of the darkest times, but now it was time to move on.
He steeled himself for the transition from extreme poverty to potential wealth and stability. The road ahead was uncertain, but Deimos was a warrior, and he faced the future with determination and resolve.
As he set off for Area 1, Deimos felt a mixture of anticipation and resolve. This move was more than just a change of residence; it was a step towards reclaiming his life and finding a way to live sfely with Amara.
The journey ahead would be challenging, but Deimos was ready to face whatever came his way.
