Chapter 16 : Speeding Through The Snow

The chase was on, as the semi truck sped through Crimson City's streets as snow fell and the winds intensified.

The roar of the icy winds and the throaty rumble of Crimson Storm's motorbike stung her face and reverberated in her ears as she twisted the clutch harder, putting the pedal to the metal and caught up with the villains semi truck.

Suddenly, the side of the cargo container opened up revealing Hanae who dove at her and landed on the top of the motorbike.

Hanae grinned wickedly as she tried to trample the fingers of Crimson Storm which were busy trying not to loose control of the bike.

Crimson Storm tried her best, as she maintained control of the bike as she used one hand to try and knock Hanae away.

With a lucky shot to Hanae's knee, the villaness lost her balance and nearly fell as she gripped the handle bars and hung belly down as her feet dangled near the front wheel of the bike.

Crimson Storm eyed Hanae as she hung on for dear life as the hero kept driving and picking up speed.

"Give me a reason to not push off this bike and run your bony ass over, Hanae!"

Crimson Storm said, as the winter wind began to subside and the snow stopped falling.

Hanae then managed to pull herself up and get eye level with Crimson Storm.

"You don't have the balls to do that, but i on the other hand..."

She trailed off as she sat herself on the handlebars of the motorbike, which Crimson Storm was forced to reduce speed and the villaness snapped her fingers and then Silverbeast along with LockJaw dragged something behind them on the truck .

It was a person with a black burlap bag on their head.

Crimson Storm's eyes widened as this new development came into play, as Silverbeast pulled the bag from the person's head and curly blonde locks tumbled free along with the face that went with it.

"JULIE!"
Crimson Storm half gasped and screamed.

Hanae then threw a wicked grin at the hero as she then lept from the motorbike and to the semi truck and was caught by the massive hand of Silverbeast.

"Confused hero?"
"Well you see while Mirage led you on a wild goose chase, i made a little stop before the steel mill and got myself a little leverage, your darling little sister!"

She cackled.

Crimson Storm glared back, as she kept her focus on driving the motorbike.

"I suggest you pull over Casey, or ill make my boys throw Julie onto the asphalt!"

Hanae threatened.

Crimson Storm made an annoyed sound in her throat as she released the clutch and made a safe stop on the road, as did the semi.

Crimson Storm then dismounted the bike and moved towards the semi with her arms out in front of her in a non aggressive stance.

"There, now let my sister go!"
She demanded.

Hanae grinned wickedly as she along with Silverbeast and LockJaw stepped off the truck with Julie.

"Not so fast hero, just because you listened doesn't mean i'll let your sister go."
she said, as she summoned a black tendril from her fingertip and it snaked around Julie's throat.

Crimson Storm made a move to advance, but Hanae stopped her.

"Not one step further Casey, or i'll pop this little bitch's head off!"
Hanae snapped.

Crimson Storm nodded, as she felt powerless in this moment.

Hanae grinned sadistically, as she looked to Julie who was trying to struggle and get free.

"You know what?"

"I've changed my mind, you're about to become the sole remaining member of your family!"
She said a she tightened the tendril around Julie's throat and prepared to flick her wrist.

But then a massive hand grabbed her by the wrist.

"Like hell you'll kill that girl, i can't allow you to kill a child!"

said the voice the massive hand belonged to.

Hanae looked up and saw Silverbeast looming over her and had her wrist in a tight grip.

"What do you think you're doing!?"
She snarled, her eyes wild with rage.

"I'm just realizing i was on the wrong side, i can't be associated with sickos like you anymore!"

"And to think i was scared of you, Corpse Bitch!"

Silverbeast said, as he pulled Hanae back forcing her to release Julie.

"You're a damned fool for doing this Silverbeast!"

"Anyone else having a change of heart?"

She said, clearly annoyed.

Just as the other villains stepped off the semi truck, Violet Queen and Lockjaw didn't join Hanae's side, but rather moved closer to Silverbeast.

"Yeah, we're with the big guy on this matter."

Violet Queen growled, her good eye shining with anger.

Lockjaw grinned as he joined his cohorts.

"What the lady said, attempted murder on a kid ain't cool Hanae!"
He said.

Hanae grit her teeth, her eyes burning with rage.

"TRAITORS, ALL OF YOU!"
She screamed.
