The next morning, the atmosphere at the academy was still charged with excitement from the finals and the unexpected intrusion. The celebration had been a brief respite, but now the reality of the situation weighed heavily on everyone's minds.

In the principal's office, Ryo, Yumi, Akira, and Tatsuo stood before the principal, who looked grave. "You handled the situation admirably last night, Ryo," the principal said. "But we need answers. These attacks are becoming more frequent and more coordinated."

Ryo nodded, his expression serious. "I understand, Principal. We're willing to do whatever it takes to keep the academy safe."

At that moment, the door burst open, and Satoshi, along with the other members of SCOF, entered the office. "Ryo, we need to talk," Satoshi said urgently.

The principal raised an eyebrow. "And who might you be?"

"Satoshi, from SCOF," he replied, his tone respectful but firm. "We've been looking for Ryo. There's something you all need to know about his past."

Ryo's eyes widened in surprise. "What are you talking about, Satoshi?"

Satoshi glanced at the principal, who nodded his permission to continue. "Ryo, it's time you knew the truth about your past and your powers."

Yumi, Akira, and Tatsuo exchanged curious glances, eager to hear what Satoshi had to say. The room fell silent as he began to explain.

"Ryo, you were once the head of SCOF," Satoshi said. "Your powers are extraordinary, and you were one of the most powerful members we've ever had. But there was an incident that led you to leave the organization and erase your memories of that time."

Ryo's heart pounded as he tried to process the information. "Why would I do that?"

Satoshi sighed. "Because you discovered something about your powers that terrified you. You feared you couldn't control them and that they would bring harm to those you cared about. So, you made the difficult decision to leave and start a new life, erasing your memories to protect yourself and others."

Yumi's eyes widened in shock. "Ryo, is this true?"

Ryo shook his head, struggling to remember. "I... I don't know. It feels like a dream, something distant and unreal."

The principal leaned forward, his expression thoughtful. "If what Satoshi says is true, we need to find a way to help Ryo regain his memories and control his powers. The safety of the academy depends on it."

Satoshi nodded. "We have a device that can help restore Ryo's memories. It's risky, but it's the only way to unlock his full potential and understand the threat we're facing."

Ryo took a deep breath, his resolve firm. "I'll do it. If it means protecting my friends and the academy, I'll do whatever it takes."

Yumi placed a hand on his shoulder, her eyes filled with determination. "We're with you, Ryo. Every step of the way."

Akira and Tatsuo nodded in agreement. "We'll support you, no matter what," Akira said.

"Yeah, we're a team," Tatsuo added.

The principal stood up, his expression resolute. "Very well. Let's proceed with the memory restoration. We'll do it in a controlled environment to ensure Ryo's safety."

The group moved to a secure room equipped with the necessary technology. Ryo lay down on a comfortable chair as Satoshi prepared the device. Yumi, Akira, and Tatsuo stood nearby, their expressions a mix of concern and anticipation.

"Ready, Ryo?" Satoshi asked, placing the device on Ryo's forehead.

Ryo nodded. "Let's do this."

The device hummed to life, and Ryo felt a surge of energy coursing through him. Images and memories flashed before his eyes, fragments of his past coming together like pieces of a puzzle. He saw himself training with SCOF, mastering his powers, and leading the organization. He remembered the incident that led to his decision to leave, the fear and uncertainty that had driven him to erase his memories.

As the device worked, Ryo's body tensed, and he let out a gasp. Yumi grabbed his hand, offering silent support. Akira and Tatsuo watched anxiously, their hearts pounding with worry.

Finally, the device powered down, and Ryo opened his eyes, a mix of emotions swirling within him. "I remember," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I remember everything."

Yumi squeezed his hand, her eyes filled with compassion. "What did you see, Ryo?"

Ryo took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I saw my time with SCOF, the training, the missions. But most importantly, I remembered the incident. My powers were growing uncontrollably, and I feared they would hurt everyone around me. That's why I left."

The principal nodded, his expression understanding. "We'll help you control your powers, Ryo. You're not alone in this."

Satoshi stepped forward, his gaze steady. "We need to work together to face the threat that's targeting the academy. Your powers are the key to stopping it."

Ryo stood up, determination etched on his face. "I'm ready. Let's protect our home and our friends."

With his memories restored and his resolve stronger than ever, Ryo knew that the journey ahead would be challenging. But with Yumi, Akira, Tatsuo, and the rest of the academy by his side, he was ready to face whatever came next. The battle for the academy's safety had just begun, and Ryo was determined to lead them to victory.
