There are certain roles that parents needs to play in the lives of their children and at certain times. A parent can play so many roles at the same time, such as; Teacher, friend, student, listener, doctor and a lot more. Although, all these roles must be played at the appropriate time because you can't be a teacher when your child needs a friend, nope! Do not be too strict and too lax with your child because they'd raise and pass what they have been taught down to an entire generation, so teach them wisely and safely. What have you taught your child? Well whatever it is you have taught them, that is the lifestyle they'd live to and through that the name they'd make for themselves. A word is enough for the wise as the saying goes and  the Yoruba's will translate theirs as 'Abo oro lansofun omoluabi, tobadenu yodiodidi'.

Whatever the parent has taught the child, it is now left for the child to make use of it wisely. A parent will play his/her roles and if the child wishes, he uses it and if he so does wishes also he throws it away, after all they have played their part as parents. A good child will never put his parents teachings to waste or shame but will always turn back to look at where he is coming from and also look forward to where he is going to but otherwise is the case of a bad child.

I pray God blesses us with beautiful children who'd heed to our words and grant us the knowledge and life to keep them on the right track.
