Chapter 5: meeting a special person.

Bai li and xu xin shared their information with each other while wandering around the palace.

Bai li was an 18 years old,innocent and a very lovely girl. She was an orphan because she had lost her parents when she was little. After spending a very difficult time in an orphanage she had come to the palace to work for live as an independent person. She was a very determined person even though she was a little scared.

"Soo you are saying that you have a relative but you don't know where he is?"
Xu xin asked

"Well... he's not actually a relative. He's a friend. He told me to wait until he comes . But he still haven't come as he promised."
Bai li said with a disappointed expression.

"Should I tell her that I know him or should I not.... Maybe I should not. It'll be very troublesome if she finds out about me now. So I'll let them meet when I became the queen."
Thought xu xin

"It's ok. I'm sure he'll keep his promise. I trust him since I only have him for a relative now."
Bai li said while trying to smile.

Xu xin felt sad seeing her like that but she didn't have any other choice than let her stay like that until xu xin becomes the queen .

"Ok ok let's go and see the royal garden now. Shall we?"
Asked xu xin

"But isn't it forbidden for maids? I heard only the royal family could go there."
Said bai li

"Don't worry my father is a friend of the former king. So no one will punish us for going there."
Said xu xin

"Really?!"
Asked bai li with a surprised expression

"Yeah"
Said xu xin

"Hmmm...ok then.. let's go"
Said bai li

When they were on their way to the garden they met another maid face to face. The moment xu xin saw her,xu xin realized that she is the fated one of the second general of the Phoenix kingdom He Xian, who was also the right hand man of xu xin.

People thought that He was the last person of the noble crane spirit bloodline. But Xu xin and He xian knew that he wasn't the last person of his clan since the late general of the crane world said his daughter was alive before he died.

"I think I found the  person you couldn't find brother Xian."
Thought xu xin.

The maid glared at xu xin and were going to go passing them without saying a word. But xu xin stopped her.

"Hey, what's your name?"
Asked xu xin

"That's none of your business"
Said the maid with an annoyed expression.

"Aren't we all lower ranked maids, so we can be friends right?"
Asked xu xin again

"Because you're working at the main palace don't think that we're the same. I came here four years ago even though we're in the same rank. I'm your senior."
Said the maid

" What? It's been four years since you came here and you're still in the same rank?! That's really unfair!!"
Said xu xin with a surprised expression.

"Don't show me that you're caring when you even got to work at the main palace as soon as you entered the palace. "
Said the maid angrily

" It wasn't my fault that the king chose me. I didn't even want to work there. I wanted to work at the inner palace.
Said xu xin

"You want me to believe that now?"
Asked the maid

"Believe or not it's your job but I don't have any reason to lie to you"
Said xu xin

"It doesn't matter if you're telling the truth or not anyway. I know that even I worked over my limit I will not get a higher rank since I'm from a poor family "
Said the maid sadly

" You don't have to stay silent. I'll talk with the former queen about this. My father is a friend of the royal family. So I know the queen.I'll tell her that there are maids who haven't got a higher rank even though they've worked for years. She'll look into it and I'm sure that You'll receive what you deserve. "
Said xu xin

" Are you serious? "
The maid asked with a surprised expression

" Yes"
Said xu xin

" But why? I even accused you"
Said the maid sadly

" I don't get those things to heart girl. Then can I know your name now?"
Asked xu xin

"I'm Xiao Mei and you're?
Asked the maid

"I'm Li Xin and this is Bai li.
Said xu xin introducing bai li and herself to Xiao mei.
