So, here was my best idea for the backstory:
Aqua was turned into a Rainbow Friend by Red, just like the others. He was the newest one, and he found that instead of playing with the others or catching players, he was really intrigued by Red's science instead.
So Aqua asked to be Red's assistant. Red reluctantly agreed to let him help and began to let Aqua help with his experiments.
However, Red also began to use Aqua as a Guinea pig for his experiments, to which Aqua didn't object with at first, believing it to be a part of the process.
But it did escalate to the point of Aqua having several severe burns all over his body and left him with many bad memories from that time.
(You could decide whether he quit the job or not I guess, cause I don't really have anything from here on out.)
But I hoped this helped out some and I'll also ask you guys the daily question!
