Fear x Anxiety - An Inside Out 2 Story

Part 1

It was always there. He had said it from the beginning, "I can fix her". Those words fell out of his mouth like it was nothing. At least that's how the others heard it. To Fear though it was a promise. He understood how Anxiety felt. It's a lonely world when nobody sees how important it is to keep Rylie safe but you. The others can claim to understand all they want but it's always Fear and Anxiety pulling the all nighters.

It was a typical night. Fear was researching diseases. Rylie had let someone borrow her water bottle and they had not water falled it. Meaning any number of diseases could have entered Rylies body the next time she took a drink. Anxiety was up predicting the likelihood that Rylie would fail her math test tomorrow.

"How's it looking?" Fear asked.

"I'm not being dramatic when I say this but I don't see a reality where Rylie doesn't end up living at home for the rest of her life. How about you?"

"Rylie definitely had the flu at the very least possibly cancer."

"Can you contract cancer from a water bottle?" Anxiety asked with a laugh.

"It hasn't happened before but you know Rylie she's a trend setter."

The two laughed and it felt like they were the only two in Rylies mind. The others faded away to a distant memory. Anxiety's first impression became a foot note in their story. Their eyes met for a moment. But Anxiety turned away and said, "I think we should probably wake Rylie up so she can study for her test before school."
