“Welcome back darling!!”
“Welcome back sir.”
Kim Dae-Ho (Cale’s father) looked at Cale with a stoic expression for a second before smiling happily. This made Cale to flinch and awkwardly smile back, Yun Da-Eun (Cale’s mother) comes out from the kitchen and smiles at both of them.
“I’m just about to start making dinner!”
It was only around 4 o’clock, but the sooner they leave, the faster it is for Cale to meet up with the gang and for Dae-Ho to complete his work and return home to his wife and future son. Dae-Ho undoes his tie and places his case near the entrance, before grabbing two cans of beer, he then sits on the couch, across from Cale, seriously watching whatever Cale was watching.
“Here, have some”
“O-oh? Are you sure?”
“Yeah, have a drink with me”
“. . .”
As Cale holds onto the can, he stares at it for a while before Dae-Ho shakes his head and looks at him confused.
“It’s not actually strong, come on, just as if you’re drinking with your father, I gotta practice once my child reaches the age you are haha!”
“. . .I-”
His eyes saddens as Dae-Ho looks at him with concern. Cale awkwardly smiles once more while holding the can tighter.
“-I never got to have a moment like this with. . .my dad.”

Dae-Ho became pale, filled with guilt and fixed his glasses while awkwardly bows towards Cale.
“Oh geez!! I’m so sorry!! Ah, I’m very sorry kiddo!!”
“A-ah, no no, it’s fine! I don’t talk about it much!!”
There was a long pause of silence, before Dae-Ho cleared his throat and looked at Cale softly.
“Then, let this both be our first time drinking with one-another, I don’t mind showing you how a drinking-bonding time works. Just hope my Rok Soo doesn’t get jealous haha, ha.”
“. . .ha, sure”
Cale smiles softly before lifting his can of beer and pressing it to Dae-Ho’s, the father that will never actually have this moment with his Rok Soo. . .because. . .because-
“Cheers!”
“Cheers”
-Human, although this guy here is a bit strange, he really does share the same expression you always make. I like this other human!!
Raon too, tried to brighten up the mood. Now that he found out new information about his human. . .and somewhat the future of his parents, it saddens him.
‘Human too, lost people he loved.’
It explains a lot, with why his human would try so hard while keeping everyone safe and happy. Watching his human smile all day with these two, it makes him happy that his human is finally able to have moments he probably never got to make with his world humans. . .it also questions him even more towards what may have happen. . .what happen to them? When did they die? Does. . .does human still yearn for them?
“Dinner is ready!! Come and eat you two!! Time is ticking”
They all sat down in their seats and began eating their meal, silent, but it was no longer an awkward one, it was now a nice, warm, comfortable silence. Yes, although from time to time they would talk and make some small comment, they all engaged and enjoyed their time as a. . .family.
