"Hi y/n's mom! I'm Yuji Itadori. Thank you for inviting me to dinner," He thanked, bowing.

"Oh please no thanks needed, thank you for showing my little girl around the school. She'd be so lost without you," She says as she holds onto his hands with appreciation.

My face gets warm with embarrassment and it makes her laugh a bit, as Yuji doesn't notice this little interaction.

For dinner my mom went all out as Yuji looked at the dinner table almost drooling. His play filled with more rice cakes, samon, and a side of veggies.

He stuffs his face quickly and I laugh while eating.

"Man, this is so good! I'm coming every night!" He says, surprisingly because his mouth is full.

My mom's eyes shine with such confidence and just seeing Yuji make my mom happy makes me super happy.

He finishes his plate quickly, taking seconds.

Yuji stays over and helps clean the dishes with my mom. I dry them and place them in the wooden stained cabinets.

"You know you Yuji, you didn't have to," I say to him as he gets done.

"I know, but I wanted to," He says, turning to me.

"I'll leave you to be now and go into my room and watch television," my mom says as she winks at me.

I roll my eyes in response as if every boy that's a friend I have has to be my boyfriend. Yuji actually sees this interaction this time and laughs.

I go into my living room and invite him to sit on the couch with me.

"So what made you move here?" He asks curiously as he admires the different paintings on the wall my mom has collected over the years.

"It's kind of a touchy subject," I say slowly, not knowing if I'm ready to talk about it.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Take you time and tell me whenever," he says reassuringly. He has become someone I was fond of so quickly. I don't know why he decided to help me? I don't completely understand. It makes me very curious about his life and why he is the way he is.

"I love your mom! She's amazing! I actually might have to start living here," he says lightening the mood.

I just laugh and imagine if Yuji lived here. It would be nice. He reminded me of someone who was very important in my life. He makes me feel protected and safe.

"You okay?" He asks worriedly.

"Yeah, thanks for being here and just everything in general." I say shyly.

The sun setting still shines through the window into Yuji's brown eyes as he takes my hand gently. He holds onto it.

"Of course, I couldn't help but help you out," he says and smiles his usual smile.

My heart skips a beat. He is too pure-hearted and kind. I don't deserve this type of kindness. I haven't felt this way in so long.

"Y/n are you okay? Are you dozing off on me?" He asks, looking at me with his head tilted.

I snap out of it, putting all my attention on him. "Yes I am, just a bit tired," I lie slightly, but I do need sleep.

"Alright, have a good night. I'll be heading out," he says and I walk him to the door saying goodbye.

I lean against the door with my heart racing. I feel my chest as I know this feeling. I haven't known him for not very long to be sure but I'd say I have a crush on him.

But to not ruin things it would just be a secret. I'd keep it in and just be happy being his friend.

There is no school today. I wake up early, walking to the market picking up groceries for my mom. I admire the scenery as the townhouses turn into shops and buildings, until I finally make it to the market.

I hold out the list she has given me before I left and I sigh at how long it is. Being an only child really does have its perks. This is not being one of them.

I grab a grocery bag and pick up everything I can on the list. As I get into the fruit aisleI see the black hair kid I bumped into the other day.

He notices me as well and scoffs. He turns to the next aisle. I don't understand why he's holding a grudge against me when it was obviously a mistake.

I roll my eyes continuously shopping once again. Ignoring the fact that I was obviously irritated. Nothing I can do but be the more mature one and mind to myself.

"Hey y/n didn't expect to see you here," I hear behind me as I look up to my blue eyed sensei.

Gojo is out of his normal school polo and is wearing more comfortable clothes. He sets his sunglasses on top of his head and smiles.

"Hi sensei, neither did I," I said nervously. I thought to myself, 'Who's next yuji?'

That exactly does happen as he is already stuffing his mouth with snacks. His eyes widen in excitement as he sees me.

"Hi y/n!" He says swallowing it down and then I realize Gojo, Yuji, and the black haired kid are all around me.
This is awkward. "Hi yuji, this is weird," I then pointed to the black haired kid with the same stank face.

"Who's that?" I ask curiously. Of course I could've asked him myself but he didn't look like he wanted to be bothered.

"Oh, Megumi! He's my very good friend," he responds, wrapping his arm around his shoulder. I'm shocked two polar opposites could even possibly be friends.

"You're probably wondering what we are all doing together on a day off from school," says Gojo,"I give them extra help on off days..yeah!" He says very strangely as if he had been caught in a lie. I don't bother about it as this is already awkward enough.

They all just nod agreeing. "Well we will see you later," says Yuji and they all start to walk away.

"I hope you're paying for that," I say jokingly pointing at his empty bag of snacks. He nods, smiling back. "Of course I will!"
