Another day of being locked in my house. Boring. It's so annoying that my parents never let me out of the house. EVER! They say it's just to protect me but it just feels like im locked in the house with no escape. Im 16 now and I still know nothing about outside the house. Annoying. A few days ago my mom had me stay in the basement for a few hours and not make a sound. Weird…. Whatever. When I asked my mom about it she just said that she needed to talk to someone without interruption. I never interrupt a conversation my mom is having with someone. But today. Today changed my life and I to this day still don’t know if it was for better or worse.
Today a bunch of dudes in armor came to our house while we were having lunch. They knocked down our door and they just grabbed me and my parents panicked and tried to stop them but it was no use. The dudes in armor took me to this giant house that looked like it belonged in a fairytale. They brought me to a room and started to question me about my life and stuff like that. then I just sat there alone for a few hours. When they came back they told me everything…. And Holly sh*t it was a lot.
“So you know nothing about outside your house?” the armored dude asked.
“Yes that's correct,” I say in response.
“Well, then Mr. York-”
“Alex please.”
“Well, then Mr. Alex you have a lot to catch up on. For starters this kingdom is called ‘the dragon sanctuary’ we are the only kingdom safe from dragons. Secondly, the prince of our kingdom went missing a few years ago and the king requested that a male of age 16 to find him. And you fit the bill. So you're going to leave the kingdom and find the prince.” the dude in armor told me. And I’ll put this bluntly, I was in pure shock. This was my first time out of my house and I’m already getting the boot!
“You joking right? I’ve never even been outside my house before. How am I supposed to find some missing prince?! You picked the wrong guy bro.” I say but there was no getting out of this. They gave me a map, food, and money, and then I got booted out of the kingdom. What a wonderful first day out of the house.
