3 minutes and 19 seconds
That's how long the phone call was
The call that changed everything
That's how long it took for my mom to find out her only brother was dead
It took another 5 minutes for my mom to come out of the bathroom, crying, looking at mine and my sisters confused faces
When she told us, it only took 10 seconds for me and my sister to process what happened and break down
2 minutes later, my mom walks out of the house to tell my grandmother her only son was dead
10 minutes pass and I walk outside to see my grandmother with her head hung low, a cigarette between her fingers
30 second pass in silence before I turn around and go back inside to my room
I spend 10 minutes and 31 second crying to my bestfriend over the phone.
It takes 29 second to grab my notebook and pencil, beginning to write
3 minutes and 10 seconds was all it took for me to finish writing, my mind still blank but not not as much as before
Overall, it only took 34 minutes for my life to change
