The time had come for us to get the exam numbers of the people we were hunting. Unfortunately, I didn't get anyone exciting, just some random side character's number. I would have loved to get Illumi's or Hisoka's numbers so I could get rid of one nuisance. But alas, luck is never on my side. Hisoka left the ship first, and we traveled to the island where the hunt would take place. I came off second after some time, waiting in the distance for Gitarakur to appear. I thought I could possibly jump him and run away with his badge. It was a crazy idea, one of the dumbest I've ever had. I need the book 'How to Remember Shit for Dummies.' In what world did I think I could sneak up on an assassin? Well, it doesn't matter anymore because the deed has been done, and now Illumi is carrying me in his iron grip, and I am a highly irritated soulmate.

Some dumbass tried to kill Gitarukur with a sniper rifle. Gitarukur looked in the sniper's direction and threw a needle, killing him instantly. Sadly, Illumi carried me all the way to where Hisoka was. Illumi, after carrying me the entire way and even killing some people, had the audacity to ask if I wanted to know where the guy with my badge number was. I said no. I needed to train my butterflies to track targets efficiently. I released my nen butterflies (the ones that were everywhere during the exam), and they did a good job finding my target. It was just some lady with no nen, so it was too easy to get her number. I went back to where Hisoka was and decided to sleep, leaving my nen on and my poison butterflies surrounding me. I told Hisoka not to touch them.

Of course, Hisoka had to push my buttons. He decided to test his resistance to poison and touched my poison butterflies. Because we can feel each other's emotions, I felt about 20% of the real pain, so I knew it hurt like hell when the poison was working through his body. I dissolved the poison butterflies and released new ones with healing properties. They immediately went to Hisoka's arm and began releasing an antidote. Fortunately, Hisoka was somewhat resistant to poison, so it didn't kill him immediately. I managed to save my soulmate from myself. In my whole life, no one has stressed me out as much as Hisoka and Illumi within a few months. As much as I would love to blame myself for poisoning Hisoka, he put himself in that position. I told him not to touch them so in that regard he was at fault. Fate is always against me: one soulmate is obsessive and possessive, and the other loves teasing and pissing me off. I need some balance in my life—just one normal guy, that's all I ask for. It's not much, just let whoever C.L. is be a normal guy.

When Hisoka woke up, he smirked in my direction and said, "Looks like you were trying to kill me." I was seconds away from killing him myself with my bare hands. I didn't need butterflies for this guy strangling him would bring me so much joy right now. I released some of my bloodlust, and the man straight up had a hard-on. I rolled my eyes and walked away, deciding to find Killua or Gon. After walking for a good three hours, some people tried to steal my badge. It was irritating, but they died from exposure to numerous poison butterflies. I made others' jobs easier; they could pick up the badges as long as they didn't touch the bodies, which were also poisoned. Deep down im a good person.

Fortunately, I found Killua he was tormenting three random guys. The bold ninja with weird eyebrows was in the area as well, i think his name was Hanzo or something. I let Killua do his thing, he managed to get the badge he needed and succeeded in misdirecting Hanzo. These are the things you can be proud to bring up when saying they're family in this type of business. We chatted for a while before I left him to his own devices.

In my expert opinion, there was no point in staying on an island if you aren't going to explore it. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything noteworthy, so I went back to where I left Hisoka and instead found a hole with Illumi in it. I left that alone, surrounded myself with the poison butterflies, and slept. I woke up to Illumi coming out of the ground, which probably meant that this phase of the exam was over.

We went back to the ship, and Netero began interviewing us, asking three questions in total:

Q1. Why do you want to become a Hunter?

A. Mostly for jobs and to make money easier.

Q2. Who are you keeping an eye out for?

A. No one really, but I would say Killua and Gon because they are my sweet, adorable babies.

Q3. Who would you least want to fight?

A. I would have to say Hisoka or Gitarakur because hurting them is like hurting myself, which I'm not very keen on.

When I left the room i was tired and worn out I really needed a long shower. Illumi was in the room I entered, at this point I think we are really connected by fate, i snicker to myself at the irony in my thoughts. Wherever I went, one of them was always close by it was quite irritating. I was happy I found Illumi though. I was too tired to deal with Hisoka at that moment. Illumi happens to be the calmer soulmate. I immediately went to the shower finished came out and dropped onto the bed in the room. "Don't disrupt my sleep, please. I'm tired and Hisoka's not around, so I can have peace." Illumi just nodded.

The next morning, Netero showed us the final stage. Gon had to go first against Hanzo. It was painful to watch. I was so close to killing Hanzo, but I needed the Hunter's license, so I held myself back. Fortunately, Hanzo gave up. I went next against Hanzo. It was a delightful matchup because he hurt my baby Gon so i could torment him just a bit.

He first tried to harm me with a blade. It was a sad attempt. I admit he was powerful, but he lacked a certain something that would get me excited. He tried to stab me several times. He had good accuracy, I'll give him that, but I grew increasingly bored of his antics. I knocked him out, knowing it would only last a few minutes because as much as I hate to admit it, he's strong.

I activated my nen, and my butterflies came out to play. I made them hard as steel and surrounded Hanzo, creating a tornado of blades around him. Once he regained consciousness, I said, "Hanzo darling, I'll give you two options: number one, surrender, or number two, get severely hurt. Don't worry, I will heal you as many times as required, but choose wisely because it will hurt a lot. Also, I say this with a time limit in mind. The longer you take, the closer the swarm will get." I said this all with a smile on my face. "Oh, by the way, if you try to escape, the butterflies—one poison butterfly made just for you—will cut deep, and I won't be healing that."

The seconds began counting down, and the butterflies inched closer. Hanzo gave a speech about enduring pain and how my healing him defeated the purpose. It was a long and boring speech. When the butterflies started doing their damage, he screamed in pain i kind of felt sorry for the guy. The first three times he managed to withstand the pain, but on the fourth, he gave up. I felt bad because I made such a mess; his blood was everywhere, but at least he was fine. I did heal him.

All that was left was watching the others' matches.
