I patrolled under the beams of the midday sun, watching the royals engrossed in their conversations. My presence seemed invisible to them, which was a relief. My mission was to protect them, and that duty remained unchanged.

Wu approached me, his expression softened by a faint smile. "I've located the Overlord's whereabouts," he said, pausing to meet my gaze. "The question is...are you ready?"

"Of course, I'm ready," I replied, scoffing slightly while keeping a vigilant eye on the group.

Wu nodded and handed me a map marked with a large red circle. "Be careful," he cautioned.

I took the map with a firm nod. "I'm always careful. Keep an eye on them," I said, gesturing towards the royals. My eyes met Kai's briefly before he turned away.

"You seem different," Wu observed gently.

"I'm not different. I'm the same old royal ninja," I responded quickly. Wu nodded, sensing my reluctance to delve deeper, and walked away, respecting my space.

The journey to the marked location was fraught with tension. I moved silently through the dense forest, the palace's distant echoes fading into the background. The map led me to a hidden cave, its entrance swallowed by shadows.

I drew my weapon, the cool steel a comforting weight in my hand, and slipped into the darkness of the cave. The air was cold and damp, the silence oppressive. As I ventured deeper, a flicker of torchlight pierced the gloom. I approached with deadly calm, every sense on high alert.

In the dim light, a tall figure stood with his back to me, cloaked in dark robes. The Overlord, I thought, my grip tightening on my sword. I stepped forward, ready to end this.

"Overlord," I called out, my voice a low echo in the cavern. The figure turned slowly, and my breath caught in my throat.

The face that greeted me was shrouded in darkness, only the glint of eyes visible beneath the hood. There was something unsettlingly familiar about the way he moved, the way he carried himself. My mind raced, trying to piece together the fragments of recognition.

"Who are you?" I demanded, my voice barely above a whisper. The figure remained silent, his gaze piercing through the shadows.

As he spoke, he slowly lifted his hood, revealing a face that froze my heart.

King Garmadon.

"King Garmadon?" I exclaimed, disbelief coursing through me. "You're the Overlord?"

The man laughed, a sound devoid of warmth. "The Overlord? No, I am far more powerful. I have orchestrated events from the shadows, ensuring my rise to absolute power."

"Why?" I demanded, stepping forward, my voice steady. "Why betray your people, your family?"

Garmadon's eyes were glacial, his expression unreadable. "The kingdom needs to be reforged," he said coldly. "And I will be the one to do it."

His words cut deep, the betrayal a knife to my heart. "This isn't right, Garmadon. You're supposed to protect the kingdom, not destroy it."

Garmadon's gaze remained unyielding. "The kingdom needs to be reforged," he repeated, his eyes cold as ice. "And I will be the one to do it."
