•| Haha, Mr. Malhotra happened! |•

Log hume sirf utna jaante hain, jitna hum chahte hain ke vo jaane

Aur hume humse jyada jaante hon, vo logo mein nahi aate.

"I? No sir, how can I be Mr. Malhotra's lawyer. No way. I mean he needs someone with more practical experience. I on the other hand have an experience of just two years sir. Please try to understand." I knew my words were laced with desperation. I wanted all this to turn out as a dream. I don't want to get involved with that person in any way.

"Anika, you will be handling his cases from now onwards. Get the work started as soon as possible. Arrange a meeting with Mr. Malhotra, get in contact with his previous lawyer. Get the history of past cases and all his data. Study it properly. Come on." Bhargava spoke and nodded towards door indicating me to leave his cabin and this topic.

As soon as I got to know that I will be handling Karthik's cases from now onwards I directly came to the office to convince Bhargava. But from what just happened it's clear I will not be able to convince them.

I walked back to my cabin and collapsed on the couch in my cabin with a sigh. Why can't things just go my way? It's not that I hate him or anything, but I simply dislike his presence and after the incident that happened yesterday I will not even be able to trust him now. Yes, I do understand that it's not at all his fault that his daughter was kidnapped but still.

I blame him for appointing such staff, people who had Ill intentions for his daughter. And for someone who couldn't protect his daughter, I am a little hesitant he can be a great politician. Satta ke aane se logo ka dimaag bhi kharab ho jaata hai. Koi bharosa nahi ke he will turn out to be a good Chief minister.

I sighed and kept my head between my hands trying to calm my nerves when I heard a knock on the door.
"Knock knock, Bonita." Ranvijay sir gracefully invited himself into my cabin and settled on the side chair.

"How's my little cariño doing?" I passed him a tired smile at his nickname.
"I am assigned to become Karthik's personal lawyer." His expressions wavered a little before they turned back to the amused ones.

"Oh, and why are you so tensed about it?" He asked before we heard a knock on the door. He stood up and took the coffee tray from the peon standing there and came back to the couch. He set the tray on the table and passed me my coffee mug.

"Have some Bonita, you will feel good." Look at him, such a gentleman. So caring, so understanding.

"I am not very much fond of him sir. I mean not that he said or did something that resulted in my dislike against him but I just simply don't like him." His face was expressionless. Something I am not really used to, he is always happy and funny around me. This world famous expressionless Ranvijay singhania is not something I am used to.

"Cariño, I don't really like sharing my personal life with people. But guess what, your pretty eyes always know how to get their work done by me. I wasn't really sure I would tell you this but I am also not fond of that Malhotra. And trust me my reason isn't as simple as yours. My reasons, they are serve and My dislike can be easily replaced with the word loath. I loath his presence." I could feel disgust and pain dripping off his tongue as he talked about Mr. Malhotra.
