As Y/n focused on her studies after the incident with Mattheo, determined to channel her frustration into academic success, she buried herself in her books until the morning classes began. With her mind sharpened by the intensity of her focus, she left her dormitory promptly as the bell rang, ready to face the day ahead.
Navigating the corridors with purpose, Y/n inadvertently collided with a blonde-haired boy, jolting her out of her concentration. "I- Sorry.." she mumbled, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment at the unexpected encounter.
"Careful where you're walking, idiot," the boy hissed sharply, his tone cutting and disdainful. Y/n blinked in surprise at the harshness of his words, taken aback by his hostility.
Before she could respond, Pansy Parkinson intervened, her presence a welcome relief in the tense moment. "That's Draco," Pansy explained softly, shooting a reproachful glance at the boy. "Sorry about that."
Y/n nodded slightly, her expression guarded as she processed the interaction. "It's... fine," she replied evenly, brushing off the insult with a determined effort to maintain her composure. "Let's just go. I don't want to be late."

As Y/n and Pansy entered the Potions classroom, the atmosphere was already thick with tension, exacerbated by Snape's impatient demeanor. "Took you two long enough," he hissed with irritation, his black eyes narrowing as they scanned the late arrivals.
"Sorry, Professor," Y/n murmured apologetically, her gaze lowered as she took her seat beside an empty chair, which, predictably, was in front of Mattheo. Before she could settle in, Mattheo kicked the back of her chair with deliberate force, a silent provocation that she chose to ignore for the moment.
"Riddle, stop," Y/n growled quietly, turning to glare at him over her shoulder.
"No," Mattheo replied defiantly, his expression stony and unyielding.
"Ehem?" Snape's voice cut through the room like a whip. "Detention, Mr. Riddle," he declared sharply, his displeasure evident in the cold set of his features.
Y/n couldn't help but smirk triumphantly at Mattheo as he rolled his eyes in response to his punishment. The satisfaction of seeing him face consequences for his behavior was a small victory in the ongoing battle of wills between them.
After class, Y/n joined Pansy and found herself seated with a group of Slytherins that included Draco, Mattheo, Blaise, and Theodore. Pansy introduced her warmly, drawing attention to the new addition to their circle.
"Ah, Y/n! More new faces!" Pansy greeted with a hint of amusement. "This is Blaise," he nodded towards Y/n, "and Theodore," she gestured towards the smirking boy beside him.
Y/n smiled politely at them both, nodding in greeting. "Hello, Blaise. Hello, Theodore," she acknowledged, her tone polite yet guarded.
Theodore's smirk widened as he leaned slightly towards Y/n. "Hello, darling," he drawled smoothly, his eyes gleaming with an unreadable intent.
Mattheo, sitting nearby, rolled his eyes audibly, a gesture that spoke volumes about his disdain for Theodore's flirtatious approach. Y/n couldn't help but notice the underlying tension between Mattheo and Theodore, sensing a rivalry that extended beyond mere words.
Throughout the meal, conversation flowed around Y/n, blending between discussions of classes, upcoming Quidditch matches, and the latest gossip from around Hogwarts. Despite the initial challenges she faced with Mattheo and now Theodore's unsettling attention, Y/n remained composed and engaged.
