17. rumors

Taehyung smiled at the news article. He was known for going viral but this was impossible. The reporters weren't completely wrong but damn did they twist the story.

Axe began to cry signaling to you that he was awake. You threw the blanket off of you and darted off the bed. Taehyung rolled his eyes. He wanted to help you but you never gave him the chance. He huffed and made his way to the kitchen.

You walk out holding the baby in your arms. His hair made you smile. He was definitely your family. You sat down on the couch and waited for Taehyung to speak. He had been on edge and you could feel it.

"A new article was released. It said that I was married and had a kid with a mystery woman." Your brows furrowed as Axe seemed to fall back asleep on your chest. How could that even be possible?

"So they got you and your covered face, but not me? That doesn't make any sense." Taehyung shrugged as he placed an omelet in front of you. He picked up Axel from your arms and you felt a weight lifted off of your shoulders.

"For now I don't have to say anything. But the more they see us out together as a family the more people will wonder." You nodded as you stuffed your face. He was right maybe it was time for a hard launch.

"I talked to Dahlia and she scheduled a photoshoot with me, you, Axel, Nova, and Bts with their significant others." You gave Taehyung a slow stare. Did everyone else agree to this?

"Why would everyone want to help out? I mean I barely knew Hoseok's girlfriend, I used to hate Jungkook's girlfriend and I only know Namjoon's girlfriend because she's a celebrity." Taehyung chuckled as he took Axel back to his crib.

"Simple, they had all been in your shoes once and nobody wants to see history repeat itself. They get the publicity they want while helping us and our situation." You shrugged a smile taking over your face.

It was the most together the group had been in months. They were all on the same page. And all to help Taehyung and you. Maybe you were good enough. Just maybe you deserved to be happy.

You walked in to be greated by Zoey who was here to help. She smiled at the small baby by your side. Tori and Alex had dropped you off. The two were definitely together and just refused to tell you anything. "Have you seen Taehyung?" Zoey's eyes traveled to yours where she saw you looking around for the only person that could make you feel sane in this situation.

"Follow me. He's been asking for you all day. It's like the two of you can't stay away from each other."

"She will not be following you she is to follow me and get her hair and makeup done. Camila already has her outfit ready." Dahlia spoke. You blinked looking down at your nephew. He was curiously looking around the room with a smile on his face.

"You can hand him to me. I'm great with kids." You almost forgot about Zoey being a mother. You smiled and handed the travel car seat to her. Your feet followed Dahlia. She was in a serious mood that freaked you out.

You wore a pastel pink sleeveless dress with a black bow in the middle and black Mary Jane shoes. Your eyes grew wide when you spotted your boyfriend in a simple pink button-up shirt and black slacks. He carried Axe in his hands who was dressed in a polo pink shirt and black shorts.

"You two look so handsome." You cooed as you walked up to take Axe from his hands. Taehyung smiled at the scene before him. He had put you through hell and back. He had put himself through and back. And you still decided to take him back.

He couldn't understand how he got so lucky.

Camila and Dahlia started to put you guys in position and cameras began to click and reality set in. They made you feel welcome.

Namjoon stared down the woman next to him. Disgust crossed his face as he scanned her outfit. She wore a black pleated fishtail skirt and a black long-sleeve flare crop top. A scowl made its way to the woman's face as she noticed his looks.

"I actually hate you." Her words rolled swiftly off of her tongue. As if she had been saying that her whole life. Namjoon fixed his black suit and sighed. He's gotten used to her spewing bullshit.

"I can see right through you."

Dahlia rolled her eyes at the two in front of her. They were the last to be photographed because they hated each other beyond infinity. Any time they pretended to be a couple it never looked right. But they were getting paid to pretend at least make it look good.

"Ok let's try something different," Dahlia spoke as she gave a singular clap and nudged Camila toward the fake couple. Camila rolled her eyes but walked toward Namjoon kicking the other celebrity to the side.

"Instead of just holding hands, try leaning on each other." Camila wrapped her hands around Namjoon's neck closing the gap between the two of them.

You watched with your mouth wide open. Nova covered her eyes as both Jimin and Taehyung busted out in laughter at the scene playing out.

Namjoon closed his eyes trying to recollect his thoughts. His eyes shot open at the warmth being taken away from him. There his worst enemy was looking up at him with a different look in her eyes.

She followed what Camila did. Namjoon could feel himself leaning closer and closer to this woman that he hated. He drowned out everything going on around him.

"We're done!" Dahlia's shout caused the two to break out of their spell. Namjoon quickly and passionately walked off in anger. Leaving that girl to wonder what the hell just happened.
