POV: Sung Heejae
– …Now I see how it is. How long are you going to stay there?
Yeongrae-hyung sighed as if he was tired. It's not surprising, given how ridiculous my findings that I told him about were.
I was still unsure. Anything could happen at this point, and who knows if I'll end up killing him if something went wrong in the process. So far, it's fortunate that such a scenario was far from happening at the moment. Either way, I didn't want to get in trouble with Gangcheol-ssi.
For now, I just told Yeongrae-hyung an approximate amount of days then hung up.
“Haah…What a mess.”
One thing was now certain. This Lee Hyejin was the root cause of my current problem and Yoohyun's. Her audacity to do all those things–I could only laugh.
Certain ideas came to mind and suddenly, I found myself looking forward to the result of this predicament.
“...Mngh…” Yooyhun groaned in his sleep.
“...”
Oh well, let's take care of this one first.
……
During my stay here in Yoohyun's house, I noticed that he didn't run out of food, despite not going out for days. That's why here I was, looking through the pantry that's supposed to be filled with food.
In his current state, I couldn’t trust Yoohyun to even hold a fork. Whatever his condition was, it severely affected his ability to work on certain things, such as cooking. Him accidently cutting himself with the knife the other day was enough proof for that. Thinking about it, I wondered how did he even managed to drive home safely and bring me with him in such a disoriented condition?
During my search last night, I found out that his pantry was beside the computer room. After staying in for 4 days straight, it's now scarce of ingredients and snacks. Well, it's enough for me to be able to whip up something to eat. I took back what's left with me to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast.
Perhaps it's because he heard the utensils clanging as I cooked, Yoohyun woke up and came to check the kitchen while still being half asleep.
“Good morning.”
“...Noona? Ah, you're cooking…?”
Because he referred to me as Hyejin, I didn't respond. He didn't seem to feel hurt by this, and instead came over by my side to see what I was doing like a curious child.
“This is new…now I'm looking forward to eating it!”
“...”
Really like a child.
Yoohyun prepared the table as the food just finished cooking. I presented pizza toast and stir fried noodles on the table, while Yoohyun patiently waited to be served.
“Here's your portion.” I gave him stir fried noodles and toast placed on a single plate.
“Thanks…!”
I watched as he munched down on the food.
“Mm! This is so good!”
“You should be grateful then. I don't really cook for others often.”
“Okay!”
I kept on observing his handsome mug as he continued eating. He sure looked happy, but once he was almost done with his portion, his eyes started to shift quite often. His lips also curled strangely as he cleaned up his plate. Did he have something to say?
