where Tarunika was engrossed in a game, The smiling girl, Payal, saw Tarunika playing and mentally face-palmed as her smile dropped.
"Oi, we are getting late, and you are playing games here??" Payal exclaimed,
her voice filled with exasperation. Hearing this. Tarunika looked up, her eyes wide with surprise.
"Wait a minute," she said. her voice trailing off as she returned her focus to her phone, only to see she got defeated.
"Come on, man!!" she raged internally, throwing her phone aside in frustration. She sat in silence for a moment, then crawled back to retrieve her phone and placed it in her bag, her face a mixture of annoyance and resignation.
"Let's go, or we are going to be late. Taru." Payal urged, her tone now more pleading than angry.
Payal dragged her out of the room and they both said bye to the elders in the house before heading to the metro station.
The air outside was crisp, and the streets were bustling with activity, but the girls moved quickly, focused on their destination.
As they entered the metro station Tarunika and Payal started to relax. Determined to lighten the mood, Payal pulled out her phone .
