Synopsis: Leafy is now alone and has to live by only eating yoyleberries.

CONTENT WARNING: suicidal ideation, general mistreatment

Despite how short it was, it all played in slow motion to her.

Painfully slow.

At the time, the act of stealing an island that they had been battling for years to claim seemed so small - it was what was going to fix everything, anyway, right? Firey was stupid to tell her that she was not allowed in anyway. He just did not understand anything that he was doing and she was going to make him see that.

With the signed, seeming priceless parchment, detailing how she now owned the infamous 'Dream Island', she felt great! It was easy, everything was perfect. It was going to be perfect. It will be perfect soon, she swore. Soon everyone will be happy and they can hang out until the day they die. That is what fun is. Leafy held the document and grinned. Maybe not yet. They cannot know quite yet.

They cannot know.

No one can know.

An uneasy feeling resurfaced in her mind. Maybe she had made a mistake. What would they all think of her now.

It was for the greater good, she reassured herself, afraid.

---

The chase made her lose all her energy. It made Leafy want to puke. It made her feel vile. It made her feel like she was vile. It made her feel like she was such a vile creature. Where even was she? Undoubtedly, if she even got within close proximity of the city, she would be mauled to death by all the other contestants. And, that was something that she did not want. Or maybe she did.

Leafy was sat between a few bushes, some yoyleberries she had picked were strewn about the grass - her bright, glowing greenish leaf appearance had now changed to a much more harsh grey tone. At least, now, she could not burn. She was significantly physically stronger than her previous complexion. That did not mean she wasn't very weak.

Weaker than before.

By the hour, she was growing more and more frail.

Her only friend and company was a radio. Not a lot, but it's all she had, and honestly, Leafy was rather thankful. Without it, she would of went back and murdered every single object already.

However, that was not going to help her food situation; here, the only thing in the wild is yoyleberries - they have special properties, yet are not filling and you need to eat quite a few before it can be considered a full meal. She fucking hated it. She knew she was going to die. She was going to die. She wanted to die. The metal prevented Leafy from stabbing herself, though.

Lying down on the ground, her mind began to wander further into a dark oblivion. Memories. Wishes. Thoughts. All absolutely crushed, obliterated and snuffed out because she impulsively decided that, maybe, she was going to fix everything her way.

Elsewhere, every contestant was happy. They enjoyed themselves, and didn't have to fret about surviving in the wilderness.
